She's great to call on these shows because she's almost like a child that's having a rant--so that gives good television because she keeps just trying to say the opposite of what the other people are saying. In addition, as others have stated in the comments, she has a bullying mentality and you can clearly see from her statements and almost hysterical attitude when someone makes a counter statement that she has some disturbing issues. Was she criticized by her parents or classmates growing up? Was there some horrible memory from her past that was based on her weight? And another point: the very limited study stated in the interview (as in most interviews by people merely trying to prove their belief) can most likely be counteracted by 10 other studies to the contrary. i agree with Mia, RIP, she needs to stop targeting overweight people and seem to blame them. It is destructive psychologically. Yes I agree we need to have an active lifestyle and eat healthy food, but the way Ms. Roth doing this is psychologycally bullying and will create more weight issue to already young girls, especially, with eating disorder issues. Ms. Roth needs to find a better strategy. Stop attacking on the obese but try to support more active lifestyle and good nutrient for our kids.

To just get some facts straight my cousin died because of her results from knee surgery (she had a bad knee since college from playing basketball). @abret69 I would think that it depends on the trainer's workout plan and the diet. From what I've been reading it is about getting your heart rate above a certain for a certain amount of time. IF she is still eating "healthy" but her calorie count exceeds or equals what is being burned off during the workout she would maintain her weight. If you've seen her move you'd notice that she was a solid woman. Her workouts are probably why she was built the way she was and didn't gain weight.

@chelledc No. She is definitely not a solid woman. She had a very high body fat percentage. The only purpose of someone like that having a personal trainer would be so they could lose body fat. She is not training for a sport or anything like that. But again, I don't know what her goals were. But if her goal was to STAY as a plus sized model, and that was clearly stated up front, then her trainer would have been limited in actually maximizing her workouts.

As for her training she is definitely smaller than she was in Road Trip Personal trainers are there to guide you through workouts and to help you do your workouts correctly. The intensity level & what you want from a personal trainer are things that you discuss with them. She may have discussed increasing her fitness level. How do you know her body fat percentage? More than likely higher than normal but better than when she started & lower than you think.
