Maybe 30 or so years ago, but in the last decade or so, all of the Russian hazeers who the Russian Jews have abandoned during the Soviet Jew exodus of the 70s' and 80s' have been flocking to Brighton Beach and now basically constitute the majority of the populace there. I know this because I grew up on Brighton Beach for 25 years since immigrating to the USA from Odessa back in 1978.
