(1). No gang members? All Communist countries have (or had in the past when they were Communist like Russia) a black market of some kind.
(2). No drugs? See #1.
(3). No violence? Violence against your own citizens via political oppression is one of the worst kinds.
(4). No teenagers killing their parents? That's rare anywhere but especially in Asia no matter what the government because culturally Asians are very respectful towards their elders.

(7). No fear of assault when walking alone at night? In North Korea you'd be arrested for doing that without some type of official permission. All movements by citizens are strictly monitored and controlled.

When I was in NK, I asked the girl guide who (of course) lives in Pyongyang, whether she has a radio like that, and she was really like "WTF". She told me they CAN turn it off. Maybe there are households who can't. In any case, reality is never as simple as shown in the media. Even in ours.

@rochelle1088 I'm a Filipino living in New Zealand. In the Philippines we get mostly pro-American News from CNN, FOX and local Filipino news agencies (since we Filipinos are generally pro-American) and I have been to the USA twice (I have family there).
Since I came to New Zealand, all I hear from the NZ people and news are anti-American.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still very pro-US but what I'm trying to show is that there is no even handed news. The news will either hate or like US.

@e0o9kii I think human beings as a generality are messed up, especially when it comes to government. Truly objective news would be self critical as well as critical towards others. My feeling is that virtually every government wants to be like North Korea, and the only thing keeping leaders from becoming that oppressive anywhere else is that the public won't allow it and that they lack the opportunity.
