Such a great movie, but such a shame that NYC was virtually untouched. The director said that he did not use New York because he felt like he had done enough to it in his past films; it got blown up by aliens in Independence Day, It got demolished in Godzilla (1998), and got flooded and then froze over in The Day After Tomorrow. BUT COME ON!! Wouldn't it have been cool to see the great city of New York be brought to it's knees by a 10.5 scale earthquake???
