  • great stuff! my wife died last year, so i am trying to learn how to cook. never cooked before, my wife did all the work. this soup gets me by! thanks bob.

  • i love the way u talk.

  • Very smart.

Consider chicken broth instead of water.

    And BAM!

  • very nice. i lost the love of my life, my wife of 18 years. she cooked everything, i did not even know how to turn on the stove. i'm learning. thanks to you, and my neighbors, i'm getting thr hang of it. thanks for your video.

  • do u eat it afterwards?

  • u named the show onepotchef because u always use one pot for every videos? ahaha..

  • Wow looks nice and the first one Ive seen I never even thought of,that's not like me in this case lol.

  • I just tried making this and it turned out great!! Thanks alot David from a fellow Aussie :D

  • omg i use to make this all the time i thought of it my self haha well i used tomato soup with herbs and rice fancy that ay :p

  • i think orzo pasta would be good too

  • i made soup with very shortly cut thin spaghetti instead of rice. number 12 or something

  • no meat? its just a carb bomb.

  • Would it be possible to use spiced up diced tomatoes instead of spaghetti sauce. I know this question must sound stupid. I am not experienced at the kitchen and I am looking for a healthy/lower calorie alternative (since living on my own, all I have been eating is Pizza - $5 little caeser's large size.... and put on quite a pounds)

  • great recipe! a celery stalk and a small onion would sure improve it but it will make it more "complicated" and add to the preparation time. cheers!

  • i'm gonna try this tomorrow!!! my baby sis will love it! n i really love rice!!! sound delicious! looks delicious!! my mouth is all watery! n its super easy!! >.<

  • Could I be able to use Tomato soup instead of tamato pasta sauce?

  • @Jgauthier5 You probably could, but the pasta sauce has lots of herbs and spices added to it already. The tomato soup doesn't, so it might be a bit bland. Give it a go and let me know how it works out for you ;)

  • I think i'm going to try this! Easy! Plus it looks really yummy! :)

    I <3 Your Videos!

  • Wooow thanks for sharing this...looks really good too...greetings from Aussie-land!! lol XD

  • I'm eating this as I watch this video. I used Campbell's tomato soup instead of pasta sauce. This actually tastes great and is incredibly cheating. But I'm a college student, so this is college cuisine at its finest!

  • ooohhh this is looks yummy, will have to try one night!!

  • derrrrrrrrrr silly me

  • oh also ever thought of hosting your own site? lots of free ones around, then you can include the recipes for us, saves us listening, pause, writing down, unpause, listening, pause, etc, etc, etc lol

  • Check out the Video Description Box (to the right of the video) - it has a recipe fact sheet that might save you some time ;)

  • wow this is very simple, with a lil bit of vegetable chicken maybe even a lil bit of pasta beans would really turn out to be a nice meal. =)

  • Yum Yum a great winter soup. Thanks for sharing.

  • No problem - glad you enjoyed it!

  • mmmm pair that with a grilled cheese sandwich and I'm in heaven!

  • It's a great combo!

  • I'm making this right now (the stuff is on the boil downstairs in the kitchen).

I plan to add a touch of lime juice to it and a dash of hot sauce. I always get coriander and parseley mixed up as they look so similar. I'll be adding one of them whichever one it is that's sitting in the fridge :-)

  • done !

i also put in some green bell peppers and when it was done i added some worchestershire sauce.

  • Yum! Sounds delicious - hope you enjoyed it!

  • Fantastic. A great fast meal.. You can served grilled cheese sandwiches with your fabulous brownie...love your recipes and your videos..Keep up the good work. I look forward to the next one..hugs from rhode island...

  • It's great for a quick easy meal - and it's really filling too!

  • oooo nice new saucepan! need to get some myself. what a nice little recipe gonna try this one tonight.

  • I'm loving my new saucepans - been meaning to buy some for a while!

  • guys this seriosly is really good. made with the dolmio sauce and chicken stock and waterm then added some shredded bbq chicken. its so quick to make and cheap too! good one david! keep em comin!

  • What a great idea and it's a perfect vegetarian dish as well. I do have two questions:

    1. What size jar of sauce did you use?

2.Was the rice quick cooking? I wonder if I could use brown rice if I cook it a bit before?

  • 1) I used a 500g jar of Spaghetti Sauce.

    2) I used plain, regular white long grain rice. You could use brown rice, but it will take longer to cook. If you cook it before hand as you suggest, it should be fine. Enjoy!!!

  • Thank you! I'll be making this soon and I should post a video response with my version as well.

  • WOW CANT WAIT TO TRY THIS

  • Glad you enjoyed it!

  • awesome Dave, congrats on 1000 subs to buddy :)

  • Thanks Nicko!

  • I never would have thought of using spaghetti sause as an ingredient for soup! Brilliant!!

  • It works really well - plus you can extra herbs, garlic etc if you want to change the flavour ;)

  • Very Cool Idea.... I like how fast it all comes together!!!

  • It's a lifesaver when you can't be bothered doing anything complicated - glad you liked it ;)
