I used to fully support the Chechnyan mujahideen until the past few days after they claimed responsibility for the bombings in Russia that killed scores of innocent people. Targeting and killing civilians is not Islam!!!!!! So as far as I am concerned, the Chechnyan mujahideen are NOT MUSLIMS and they are NOT MUJAHIDEEN. They are NO BETTER than the Russians they are fighting. Wars are not ment to be fought by the blood of the innocent. KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE IS NOT ISLAM. Do u all agree?

@spmcc86 can you please answer a question I have since you seem to be Muslim. In the Quran it says that when somebody asked the Prophet what to do with the women and children(non-muslim) he answered "they are of the unbelievers" alluding to the fact that they didn't matter and could be killed also. It seems to me that it shows that as long as the women and innocent children are non-muslim it is okay to kill them? What is your insight on that? Thank you.

Muslims did not even destroy or burn buildings like others did.Muslims in prophet time neer killed people that were not involved into ar. Civilian are not enemy of Muslims but if civilians are helping to their goverment to fight against muslims then civils become also enemys, but not all civilians , only those who were helping to muslim enemys.

@thefatP . Thats actually not true at all. Dagestan is a majority Muslim country anyway, almost completely. It wasn't that the people were rejecting Islam in any way, It's just the fact that they didn't want to witness the war and devastation that Chechnya had seen a few years previously.

@islam451 I agree with your first part, God should not be used as a war cry, but Chechnya was its own kingdom before the 18th century & was conquered by the Russian empire, they deserve independence as much as the next state, they are a group with their own identity.
