@hancox250 yeah, but u can always take it into a shop to move the neck strap button over the neck or up more, that seems to help, but honestly, when ur playing with it, the amount of time u spend pressing notes keeps it align, i've never had a problem with it
@Michaelsdick Having one in studio isnt as easy as that. When you let go to adjust your headphones it just drops, ended up nearly damaging the drums when i was in a few weeks ago
its because in the recording he used a synth to record the bass line thats why its so hard to emulate the sound but i got pretty close with a big muff pedal
hey man you seem like an amazing bassist and i need to ask like after playing for more than 20 minutes like at this speed or a bit faster do you fingers get tired?
hey...im getting a bass soon and well, ive been lookin at thunderbird but also the squier by fender p bass...would you say thunderbird is a good bass?
GET THE THUNDER BIRD!! my friend has the squier p bass and he hates it so much every day i have to hear his complaints about his bass. i too hate it the neck is thick as fuck and most of all it sounds like shit. the thunderbird is not very pretty in my opinion but it sounds a thousand times better. i but i would go with an ibanez for starter bass i did and couldn't be more pleased.(my friends bass has something fall of or dent everyday)
i have the epiphone tbird. the pickups are very very passive which is something that i personally dont like. i highly recommend forking out an extra $200 and going with something like the fender geddy lee jazz bass. it plays wonderful and has an amazing tone. you get what you pay for, seriously. if you are going to buy from the fender line, get a fender, not a squier. if you do, you'll thank me later.
hey, i need a bass for yes recreational ue but i also play in my youthgroup band so i need a good bass that sounds good is a jazz bass really good for rockish type music? dont know a lot bout basses but i thought jazz is for like slap and thigns like that
Never... ever.. i repeat.. EVER EVER get a squier p bass lol.. they are.. ugh disgusting lol.. if youre lookin for somehtign u can pick up for 150 bucks... go for the dean playmate.. best ive played in that range... but i agree with the guy down there.. fender geddy lee.. although if u dont mind waiting and saving up... fender marcus miller is one of the best basses ive ever played lol
well i mean ive seen some good ones f you pitch in maybe another 100-200 bucks for new pickups and strings or soemthing sounded pretty good, and isnt geddy lee a jazz bass?
It's only wrong in that, as others have noted, it's not constant plucking. I also played it on the A string whereas Chris plays it on the E, but it's the same notes.
Nice bass dude.... Thunderbird:P

Benphase2 3 years ago
o_O thTS weird ... when i last checked a month ago, thee were a few tabs.. 1 was a totally shit and the others were drop D
RaidoEmo 3 years ago
are u useing DROP D for this song?
RaidoEmo 3 years ago
Nope it's standard tuning.
Benphase2 3 years ago
nice cover, man. You're creative. Your bass sounds good, but your fingers are weak. Work hard on them then you'll get a nicer fingering formation
p.s.** hope u understand what I mean. My English is not so good. I mean you no offence, OK?

did you install a new strap button behind the neck? how was the neck dive with the button in its original place?...
mortaldraw 3 years ago
Yeah I drilled a new hole - took 5 mins and was well worth it. With the original positions I couldn't play standing up, it was that bad.

but nice otherwise

GeoAl09 3 years ago
Exactly, I've tried pretty much everything to get close to the sound and continuous strumming works best with my set up.
