  • this is a Peach cover, Justins formber band. They're actually pretty good too, just never caught on.

  • Danny, Justin, Maynard, Adam... you will NEVER be forgotten... until our bodies die.. then you will be forgetten for a little while.. then we will remember you again... or something along those lines..

  • @spooge4569 lmao, i hope you know theyre making a new album.. actually, its coming up in april, cant fucking wait!

  • little riff around 3:08 sounds like pantera, sick

  • Yep, this is not a Meshuggah cover. What was I thinking?

  • @TruthSufferage I was hoping for the same hahahaha

  • materialization

  • dude nooooo, yeees, maybe!!!!!!!!! :D this doesnt sound like tool at all but its pretty badass.

  • @DrSterlingSimmons it is tool, its sound alot like tool. and yes its ass is bad

  • @DrSterlingSimmons its tool.

  • what album is this from

  • @TheToolfan123 It's not on any album, but I have seen it on a demo-"album" called '72826' , search Wikipedia for it.

  • @berryhill88 ok cool thanks!

  • @berryhill88 I'm pretty sure it's not on "72826"... :)

  • your all silly Clowns :D

  • do on to others what you want to,sin is .............. boundaries..i have none

  • like

  • I highly recommend the Peach cd Giving Birth to a Stone. It's incredible.

  • @Z1CAUSEDEATH I didn't like the Peach's singer much at all, but the music was great.

  • PEACH!!!!!

  • @BETTERthenUare I always say " I love God, but hate his representatives."

  • Man, I've been listening to the same tool songs over and over, sometimes 3-5 times a day, every day. Now my addiction is TooL covers. I've been a fan for quite sometime and just recently did I discover the pleasures of TooL covering Peach

  • i love how during the song, when music stops, some one starts a slow clap... XD

at (4:18) <----dont know how to tagg timings...

  • Longer thoughts, longer comments.

  • I concur

  • thats what it looks lik when earth head bangs xD

  • religion is to me in my perception all the same story based of ancient teachings and the universe. its all linked together with the same PRINCIPALES behind it.

  • when the earth buldges can almost image gorillaz cartoon face

  • wow it took me a second to figure out that this was live. they must have a great sound live! hell yea!!!!!!!!

  • What album is this off?

  • this song has almost no bass. o.o

  • @masterdeathify your deaf apparently

  • Wow, over all the Tool vids I've watched it appears some of the people Ive encountered through comments are grouped here.

  • what if i wear a Tool sweatshirt to church?

  • @RosettaStoned525

The priest's eyes will burn and his skin will melt... because no one is ready to be in the presence of God yet.

  • @RosettaStoned525 I did that once and my dad got super pissed haha

  • @RosettaStoned525 Wear it. There is no such thing as sin. There is just good and evil. Choose your side. The pope is probably along the lines of the anti-christ. I mean the vatican city is like the district of columbia; by means of being a seperate entity to the state. Also in london there is monetary hub of central banks, intelligence , etc. Pretty much the pentagon over seas. War profiteering and subliminal messages. Propaganda and magic :) google: la merika... Tool rocks! happy hunting.

  • @verbalswordsman cool read one of my last comment on this song tell me what you think of it ?

  • Religion is bullshit. Stop wasting your lives worrying. Live according to your morals. And if it's your popular belief & moral that killing is okay- have at it.

  • amazing how tool can cover any song and make it sound exactly like them. when I first heard their cover of no quarter i didn't even know led zeppelin wrote it until later.

  • @scarabmasta i think tools cover of no quarter is way better then the original

  • RATS! I wanted a meshugah cover :(

    cool song anyway

  • Hmmm sensing alot of negativity on the majority of the comments and we wonder why humanity is going nowhere... Great band but so many sleepers trying to interpret things that shouldn't be interpret to each his own

  • @187raw You should form a religion and save us all.

  • @187raw No one can listen & enjoy anymore... everyone has to have a fucking meaning for everything. >:P

  • Christianity, is the most opened minded,& the most closed minded. it is all things sin & good all in one it is every thing the reason for all things, it is talking about accepting your brothers that follow the way & the word. people that truly read the bible will spot a fake one. that is why you are to teach the word not every one will make it. and now that I look at the lyrics I was hearing words that WERE NOT PART OF THE SONGS, I think he sings for religion.

  • @josewells44 right on man

  • Christianity, is the most opened minded,& the most closed minded. it is all things sin & good all in one it is every thing the reason for all things, it is talking about accepting your brothers that follow the way & the word. people that truly read the bible will spot a fake one. that is why you are to teach the word not every one will make it.

  • Why are everyone's comment's so long?

  • @Hollandvancewright Sorry, we wont make you read too much.

  • @Hollandvancewright ppl thinking here

  • @Hollandvancewright Because they like to share their thoughts when they listen to a masterpiece.

  • @Hollandvancewright Because TOOLites are smart and eloquent

  • @Hollandvancewright Because almost every Tool fan are smart ass hell, and they wanna express their genuis ways.

  • @TheMarijuannaMan ... well then u can't be a fan, considering u spelled as and genius wrong ...

  • @badassmalificent oh shit you'r right sorry, well we all make mistakes soo it really would'nt matter, also I am fan of Tool, listen to them every day.

  • @Hollandvancewright Why is yours so short??......food for thought ;)

  • @Hollandvancewright Because,~ they have a lot to say, they have a lot of nothing to say

  • @majikangel100 this comment is just pure win

  • @majikangel100 We'll miss them

  • its funny to see some of the most egotistic people happen to be on a tool video clip .. and then they wonder why sum would click the dislike button haha. dnt forget that tools music takes years and years to understand because of its complexity, but then again dont all our own individual minds have their own sense of complexity aswell

  • Seems like you guys need to be taught about literature a lil bit more better, Listen to lyrics of all genres, and not the way they say it, right? technical brutal death metal, I per fer saying death metal tho.

  • Getting the feeling hojima has a pink ipod.

  • @ozabobododo No, I just find people who use faggot as a pejorative repulsive.

  • freaky video but awesome song! Tool is so amazing!

  • please make a euro tour soon a badly need that -.-

  • this is so scary when your high

  • cool is this from coachella?

wish they put this on salival

  • The Earth is Growing. Look it up!

  • I very much like this :D

  • This is why they asked Justin to join the band! He fucking rocks and meshes with the band so well. Where has this track been hiding? I love it.

  • @youareanidiot21 Salival!

  • @AustinLuck78 ? nope im pretty sure the peach song on salival is you lied from the album giving birth to a stone.

  • @wytmaori My mistake.

  • tool bitch slaps every other band on the planet because of there amazing music and lyrics they will never be over taken over because they just are the BEST!!! =D

  • Great cover.....is this before or after Justin joined?

  • @RyanEYE why do you think they covered it? Justin used to be part of Peach

  • This is such a great cover. I like it more than the original.

  • @darthradical05 Well duh, peach isn't a good band at all especially when Chancellor left them to be with Tool, that was their only good thing, an amazing bassist lol

  • maynard is a good singer full stop.he dosent however have the answers to any of the mysteries of the universe .good singer, good bands thats all

  • @grogmonster69

Yeah, there's too much unjustified ass kissing around here.

Tool is a great band, that's it, I don't go looking for the answers to the great questions in the songs of a rock band.

  • @grogmonster69 I agree. People look at maynard like hes the smartest man on earth or some god but hes just a talented pretentious asshole. I enjoy his singing and creativity but he has managed to start a whole movement of pretentious fans who think they are enlightened about life because they find a meaning in tool songs. Tool songs dont have a set meaning so that means any meaning is right which doesn't quite make you smart now does it.

  • it depends really i suppose there is a set meaning in each song that needs both intelligence and a wide aspect of knowledge to understand. it just depends how far you wanna look into it really. put it this way maynard wrote the lyrics to say something, and at one point in time we all percieved what he was projecting at the time unintended or not that is the meaning.

  • I believe Maynard has no love for religion. Wings for Marie is about his mother becoming disabled from an aneurysm and not being able to travel the world like she wanted to, and her recurring dreams of being lifted into the sky and flying to see the world.

And why would he be religious? Where was god when she was suffering? She suffered for 28 years (which happens to be around 10,000 days, actually) before she died from complications of the aneurysm.

  • Hey-- You guys can hate on pretentious, attention grabbing rich emo kids, but please, no homo hate. If you're proclaiming to believe in music with more meaning, let's move beyond senseless prejudice here. If we're trying to move beyond the societal standards of straight white well-off male, then maybe we should think about the terms we're using to insult. Homosexuality isn't a disorder. Something to think about.

  • @sketchnurse it is a "disorder" we all have our own "disorder" and being a Homosexual is not a choice.

  • Short the NYSE AND THE Nasdaq?

  • Spasm form Tool Band Com too or two the WORLD AND U>S>A>

  • Cnbc news thinks it will be forgotten too. Fastmoney@cnbccom and Madmoney@cnbccom w/bloombergcom and Fox Businesscom? Can they see the water with cnncom

  • bloomberg news is still in one to 10

  • the whole world. In a spasm.

  • who knows where to get these other tool tracks from?

  • 10000 days = 27 years = time maynards mother had cancer till she died

  • @thomaspm002 i thought it was how long she was partially paralized from a stroke before she died... hmm guess i oughta check it out again...

  • WTF is this song?!?!?!? I believe that I have all their albums, but I have never heard this song!!!

  • sarcasm + orgasm = spasm

  • Do you think Maynard changed the lyrics for this rendition of spasm or that he just gets them wrong? He's definelty not singing the original lyrics in the first verse.

  • REALLY BAD QUALITY

  • Allthough the short guitar solo or what ever does sound very Adam Jones.

  • Hmm, I always thought it was APC who preformed this recording while they toured Mer de Noms? Any ideas?

  • I would guess it was tool because the triplets on the drums are very danny carey like. I cant really hear the guitar that well but it sounds more tool-y than apc-y. ITs hard to tell with a cover though

  • @orpahanedshadow i think its Danny Carey because the APC drummer doesn;t play as complicated drum lines as danny, and this seems to have a some what complicated drum line.

  • it's peach's song

  • yeh it would be on the album salvia cept salvia is a drug ...which i am smoking right now...damn what a coincidence, but yeh its called salival ....but u sound like a tool fan and probably alredy knew that

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @sk8erpunx58 No its not on Salvia! Its not even a Tool song! Its from a band called Peach! Justin from Tool used to play in the band! FYI The song You Lied that Tool redid is also a Peach song and You Lied is on Salvia!

  • 10,000 Days is awsome, possibly my favourite

  • @ToOlOGT22 10,000 days kind of changed tool's reputation i remember listening to them back in the 90's when i rarely met anyone who had heard of them Now i see these emo children *or what ever they want to be called* parading the tool clothing Line around like they even knew who they were 10 years ago

  • the fact that there are emo kids wearing their clothes and not even knowing who they were ten years ago does not mean TOOL didnt make good music for 10,000 Days, it means emo kids like their music now, not ten years ago. and obviously i doubt they are acually emo kids but whatever, and where i live, me and about 7 other people might know who they are, and they have not changed their reputation

  • @ToOlOGT22 I disagree, calm down speed racer.

  • 10000 days changed alot of things about tool it brought them new fans i heard the pot and became interested and now that my interest has been sparked im on a dedicated quest to hear all of maynards work the newer stuff is good but hush, opiate, jerk off i had no clue wat the hell that was 10 years ago becas of a lack of information think about how many people would like tool if they had a chance 2 listen too it but wont bcas of were they live or who they hung out with

  • I dont think where you live or who your friends are dictate what music you listen to or who you are in general. My friends don't listen to tool and they are my favorite band.

  • 10,000 days is just another phase of evolution from tool.. They get better every album.. I dont think 10000 days has anything to do with those fag emo kids... Cuz 10000 days really doesnt sound anything like what they would listen to.. I just think those fags dont actually get the genius of tools music and they sport the hoodies because Tool is just another band on their faggy pink ipods.. Either way i think we can all agree that they need to learn to swim

  • @XxExoNine I agree, but why whuld they need to learn to swim, i know what Aenama is about (btw your suppos to think for your self and find you own meanings with the song). "Learn to swim" means that those marketing fuckups drown in the pool they build themselfs, not just marketing fuckups but you and me to, we are destroying our world. we are destroying our "mother" if you wanna call it that...

  • @jonen95 Huh? He says right in the song wat learn to swim means.. He says "moms gonna flush it all away" and "The only way to fix it is to flush it all away" basically hes saying that he hopes mother nature will flood everything cuz its all bullshit.. And hes telling all the pieces of shit to learn to swim.. It doesnt have anything to do with marketing fuckups.. Thats why he says "I've a suggestion to keep you all occupied" meaning keeping all of them busy until "mom flush(es) it all away"

  • @jonen95 He also says "Cuz I'm praying for rain And I'm praying for tidal waves I wanna see the ground give way. I wanna watch it all go down. Mom please flush it all away. I wanna see it go right in and down. I wanna watch it go right in. Watch you flush it all away." How could you miss interpret this? "Learn to swim, I'll see you down in Arizona bay" Hes talking about literally flushing out LA because its so bad there that the only way to fix it is to have the whole thing washed away
  • @XxExoNine yeh i loved the cd with calfornia being drowned by water in the picture under the cd

  • @XxExoNine indeed

  • @XxExoNine dude, the Aenima reference was awsome. I think real TOOL fans don't even need to clothing or anything. They just need to know the music and feel it on the second layer of themselves. Everyone else is a stranger, and we swore to crush his bones... haha

  • @MacMan282 Totally agree... There's a kid I know who feels the need to wear a Tool bag the whole time. When I asked him who Tool were he had no idea, makes me sick how he just uses their artwork without knowing or feeling their music. Wearing the image, not the sounds themselves.

  • @keenboy1310 It's horrible really. haha, every time i get loaded at a buddies house with people who like real music i end up putting on Tool and just either tripping people out (viginiti tres is awsome for it btw) or not letting anyone else put other music on. lol, it's a good thing they like the tunes.

  • @XxExoNine Do you not see the irony in what you are saying? That people should listen to this open-minded band, when you yourself, display none of the characteristics of an openminded person, labeling people "fags" and "emos"

  • @r33c3100 @r33c3100 Dude... I have no remorse for stupid emo kids who think they have real problems and dress like girls... I HATE the way the world is ESPECIALLY the youth of this world and im only 20.. I didnt say i was open minded.. where the fuck are you getting this from? Im pissed off not open minded.. & since when is tool open minded? Maynard makes fun of religion all the time and told everyone in LA that he hopes they get wiped out with a flood! Where the fuck are you getting this from?!

  • @XxExoNine well You can take your interpretations from those songs can't you, as did I, I guess TooL fans vary

  • @r33c3100 Sure other songs.. But i was talking about aenema... Wow cant you read? what the hell is wrong with you? You can take your interpretations of any song you want, just dont expect people not to tell you your wrong when you are... This guy was wrong... thats why he didnt say anything back because aenema CLEARLY states what its about WITHIN the song.. There cant be any misinterpretation

  • @XxExoNine Maynard makes fun of Religion, but isn't Religion one of the most closed-minded concepts we have? Especially Christianity. I'm a Christian, but I hate how we can preach about acceptance, and then turn the other way if someone wears all black to Church. Just something to think about.

  • @adamenvoyoftheend maynard doesnt hate religon listen to wings for marie and 10000 days

  • @adamenvoyoftheend If your religion troubles you so much why do you follow it? Think about it. If the people who are your peers in the church do not match your outlook on life I think it is time to change your peers.

  • @mrfinn9 I believe in what Christianity is supposed to be. Like most religions, there are the people who take it too far. Christianity just so happens to have more of those than most others...

The real problem with Religion now-a-days is the fact that nobody takes their so-called beliefs seriously.

Where I might not like the way the Churches do down here in the South, I still can't bring myself to dislike Christians.

Besides, I don't have to go to a building to be in Church

  • Comment removed

  • @EgagLatsev

Or any other religion (except Buddhism, Taoism and spiritually 'ways of living' alike)

  • @adamenvoyoftheend

    Why are you Christian?

  • @adamenvoyoftheend Maynard makes many mentions of religion in their songs, i wouldn't necassarily say he's making fun of religion, he seems pretty religious himself.

  • @sdfgsfgbvdfv theres a lot of religious symbology in the occult

  • @4v3ng3d you mean there's alot of occult symbolism in religions?

  • @ConflictedStoner Yes. thanks for the correction

  • @adamenvoyoftheend i feel the same exact way brother

  • @adamenvoyoftheend

I agree...im Catholic and all I see within my own church is nothing but hypocrisy and people who will praise God and then reject someone else's mortality just because they believe differently

    its sad

  • @adamenvoyoftheend you should look up new age and new thought.

  • @adamenvoyoftheend religion is a sin. Its sit-and-stand rules that are man-made, mostly, and have to do with us feeling good-enough, while totally neglecting the truth of who God is, and what God thinks, and even what is really in the Bible. I feel for Maynard, and can kind of relate, but he was introduced to Christianity by hypocrites, and became an antichrist. Its a shame.

  • @xXcogadhXx Maynard's fate isn't as an antichrist. Life's been bad for him, but this is his influence. Sure there are times when he seemed like an asshole but I think he wants us to understand this as he does. I don't think there will be one anti-christ figure, but many. Also there will be many of the christ-figure. A lot of us may go through that 'anti-christ' phase, and it's up to ourselves to rise above it, and become a christ figure. In other words, just be good.

  • @adamenvoyoftheend No. Fuck that shit! There are actually people of us who do care, and who want to fight. You sound like you could too, but you're probably just too scared. What? The man gonna get you?

  • @adamenvoyoftheend

    no it is not.

    closed-minded are people not concepts.

  • @adamenvoyoftheend Thats not a flaw in the religion more so a flaw in man, It is impossible to be perfect so how can one be expected to be perfect. I myself battle to be accepting to everyone but the bible does not contradict itself, It is my own inability to correct my wrong doings which like myself and many other Christians fall short. Furthermore to call Christianity closed minded it beyond ridiculous It does not hinder progression in any way form or shape. Man hinders progression of man.

  • @MrSpartan27 man made religion, so it was flawed from it's creation.

  • @XxExoNine i really dont think you interperet the lyrics right from any of there songs aenema is about destroying the media mos of the media is in la dig a lil deeper man and hes not an atheist maybe hes not a christian but he believes in some greater good

  • @r33c3100 exxon 9 is one of those just wanting to argue? take it lite

  • @r33c3100 you have a pefect point 99% of the people who listin to this are extremely closed minded

  • @XxExoNine why does everyone hate emo kids?

  • @galo0t Cuz they think they have real problems and they dont.. They are sheep who dress like all their other little stupid friends to fit in.. The boys look like girls... They think their cool when really they just need to grow the fuck up... The list goes on and on

  • @galo0t Because emo kids pretend they know pain, when in fact, 99% of them are faggy spoiled rich kids who never had to do anything for themselves.. In otherwords, they are just faggot little sissy bitches who cry out for attention. But fuck them all, I'll see you sane people down in Arizona Bay, I'll bring the hotdogs and marshmallows so we can watch cali be destroyed.

  • @XxExoNine dude i wear tool shirts because i support them ive bought every album but undertow if everyone did that not steal it more of the world would know who they are

  • @XxExoNine i think you need to learn to calm down.

  • @XxExoNine im an emo kid, none-conforming as can be, youd be non conforming too if you looked just like me!

  • @XxExoNine I can't wait to see what they evolve into when their fifth album comes out (which they're working on right now).

  • @XxExoNine im often classed as "emo" but i completely agree with you, tools music has so much more meaning than alot of people care to notice

  • @XxExoNine If you listened to what tool had to say you would speak less like an idiot. Tool preachs acceptance, and "their faggy pink ipods" runs contrary to that. Die in a fire.

  • @hojima WOW! I love how people claim shit about tools music without ANY reason to think that.. where the hell do you get "acceptance" in ANY OF TOOLS MUSIC! Your such a fucking idiot! Aenema talks about flushing an entire city away for being who they are . HOW in the FUCK! is that acceptance! GOD you are so stupid!

  • @hojima Your so fucking stupid .. lets think about what you just said .. You say that by me saying faggy pink ipods its running contrary to Tools belief of acceptance (which isnt true, I dont know where the fuck you got that message from) ... Then you tell me to die in a fire? Real accepting you fucking moron... Why cant YOU be more accepting of my opinion? Your just like a christian .. hypocrite

  • @XxExoNine the album 10,000 days ways named after Maynard's mom and the comma she went through for that long it was a very emotional album, but fantastic to say the least..

  • @Ismokeweederyday not trying to be a dick but she wasnt in a coma .. She was paralyzed

  • @XxExoNine Very well put. Never on YouTube was a truer comment made.

  • But then... who cares?

  • where is this song..in wich album....and stranglehold!?????..something about new album....!?..thanks....

    pice out!

  • loooonng comments enlightened one...

  • if your shit's green you might need some antibiotics

  • it`s nice to listen this when you`re smokin` some green shit:x
