  • hey danny ayalon. nice to hear from you. has anybody else noticed that sometimes the microphones look like the two balls belonging to the golden penis (which is in fact danny's necktie)?

  • "The enemy of the good is the perfect". Excellent saying, think I have to keep that in mind.

  • Insgesamt nette Rede, aber das Problem sogar bei dieser Veranstaltung ist, dass nicht wirklich TACHELES geredet wird. Z.B. ueber die wahren Wurzeln des Konflikts.

  • A very good speech. I like his pragmatic view of the middle east conflict especially his proposal of an interim agreement ("Politics like diplomacy is the art of the possible"). Hope he'll come again to Germany.

  • I respect Danny Ayalon very much, but I think he is a bit naive about the 'Arab Spring' and the nature of our conflict. The Arab Spring is a islamic to islamist Revivial movement against socialistic and secular regimes in order to impose Islamic law and the ways of Jihad and 'war against the Jew' on it.

And the nature of our conflict is not a normal conflict, but indeed an religious one for Islam.

  • @ujbecker And Israel is a secular state?

In secular states, you are not privileged by studying the Thora, or other holy books.

What is your problem with Islam? compare the Thora to the Quran and you will find out, that the Thora wants 7 peoples to perish, the Quran only 1 .........

Those dangerous "kill 'em all"- religions should not influence the politics of a modern state.

'war against the Jew' - Israel only exists because of a 'war against the Canaanite', don't forget that

  • @Fickzion It is a privileged to study the Torah, that is right, but why does the state "priviledge studying Torah"? I have no problem with anyone that tries to live peacefully and let others live peacefully. But here we see an ill and hateful ideology of many millions (not all), who try to eliminate us and our state.

There is no existing people or religion that the Torah commtents to fight, in opposite to the Koran...

  • @ujbecker Your state and your people are far away from being innocent, something they have in common with their enemys.

When its a religious problem, religion must become less attractive and important - for example in europe we made religion less important by education and growing wealth and I'm quiet sure it will work in the middle east as well.

But as long as the israeli government and Hamas, hisbollah and Khamenei act in such a narcissistic and undiscerning way, well...happy struggle

  • @ujbecker Jewish Israelis have to serve in the IDF (the israeli army), men 3 years and women 2.

But Thora-students don't have to serve in the army, like pregnant women, and they get financial support from the government, because one earns no money with studying the Thora.

"There is no existing people or religion that the Torah commtents to fight, in opposite to the Koran..."

Because luckily the holocaust wasn't as successful as the Israelites were at eliminating the canaanites...

  • @Fickzion Question: Does the state of Germany support students of philosophy or ancient-Greek in Germany?

  • @Fickzion

Israel is a democratic state and more 'secular' as for example Germany. It is a big priviledge to study Torah, yes, for everybody who does it for the real reasons. I had no problems with Islam, until the majority of its followers declared me to be their enemy that must be destroyed. That is my problem with Islam. Start read Torah before you tell such garbage.
