  • great tutorial and you are right for the most part but, I believe the gyroscopic rotation of the rear tire is stopped and the force is transferred into the mass of the bike shifting the rear end upward as gravity pulls the front end down

  • thanks for the advice.

  • Lol, that Honda guy is right! The front wheel is the pivot point, even if it feels like the front is being forced down. It's the ass being raised that gives the illusion/feeling of the front going down.

  • Great video! Learned a lot...

  • is that a kx250? that looks just like my bike

  • you should never use your whole hand to pull in the clutch. only one or 2 fingers. You should have a finger or 2 on your clutch and brake at all times. when i tap the brake i often dont even use the clutch as the bike will not stall out during quick minor adjustments. usually only the "oh shit" times require a clutch.

  • for me its sketchy just pulling my clutch in while in the air, because i dont want to take my hand off of the grip, any tips?

  • @MrMotobros just got to practice bro .. what i did i acully just started by doin one handers then got comfortable with doing the hole clutch and brake thing

  • if you do not feel comfortable with this try throwing yourself forward{ like doing a bunny hop on a bmx } keeping your hands on the grips and your feet on the pegs

  • this guy is full of shit i use my front brake all the time to land smooth on jumps and it works

  • @XxXBELLARDXxX dude i swear you are so fucking dumb!!! he is right about the rear brake, evidently your the dumbass trying to ride

  • Thanx a lot, please make some more. For example: to make good turns.

  • do you have to hold your clutch the whole way until you land or just clutch it when you brake

  • @TerrellKX just when you tap the back brake then let the clutch out and land like butter

  • Inertia.

  • Honda racer-

You are a frigging idiot. I hope, whoever you are, I don't see you on a track. Riding dirt bikes is dangerous enough without idiots like you on the track. Get yourself a how to video before you look at that crap Honda again. Seriously, it's for your own good.

  • sweet james is great. good tips. if you just want to see riding check out my videos rider0150

  • thats crazy, im just starting to clear jumps that long (yes, a newbie) but it seems so foriegn to be doing anything other than shifting body wieght

  • Hondaracer R you serious?? It common sense back tire stops moving it throws the front down! You must not ride..

  • Not to be that asshole on youtube, but you have your physics backwards. Brake tapping actually brings the rear wheel up (which yields more distance), not bring the front wheel down. The front wheel is the pivot point.

  • @hondaracer600 Don't have a clue do you????

  • @hondaracer600 wtf your messed up from riding hondas lolz

  • @hondaracer600 your a cluster fuck. doesnt the video make it obvious?

  • @hondaracer600 Hahaha owned! and yes you're that asshole on youtube.. but you're the correct arsehole so it's all good :)

  • does this work on quads too?

  • @lismore21 i dont ride quads but id say it works less because of the size of the wheels is smaller also the correcting force is smaler but you go try it i bet it works a little...

  • i tap the front brake if it's an emergency because it will drop faster

  • don't stall it is all i have to say :p

  • coz u let go of the throttle when ur on the jump ur ament to let it go in the air

  • i have the oppisite problem, i keep doing endos in the air

  • @ jar288

just get off your throttle a little later, and if your still having a problem, use the physics in reverse. Gas it to get your wheel spinning (dont hold the clutch though if you do that)

  • he needs to get a little farther on the jumps i suggest leaning back when you go off the jump

  • you do realise thats james stewart, like the fastest man on the planet, so i dont think he needs any of our advice

  • you can also drop the front end by downshifting in the air you dont need clutch for this its for less extreme situations that you hve good control

  • great videos

  • Nice explanation with the yellow arrows.

  • From what we've seen of pictures on the moon, the moon looks like an excelent place to dirt bike.

  • this is commen sense lol

  • not for begginers

  • Comment removed

  • thank you that really helped if only i had seen this earlier lol

  • Who is the guy talking? Does anyone know?

  • ~hey boys~

  • it wont stal if u only do it for a second u only need it a second any way u dont need like 15 mins

  • if you hold in the clutch it has more of a effect

  • it doesn't have more of an effect it keeps the motor running

your not supposed to stop the rear wheel with out pulling in the clutch. it stalls out the bike which can have bad effects in the long run.

  • omg...now i knw

i kept crashing over and over

i only landed lik 5 outta lik 50

  • lol, remember the clutch!! i did this and stalled in the air....

  • i knew th clutch part...BUT DUDE THT FUCKIN SUUUUCKKS

  • can you shift up and down in the air? i tried it, and it worked!!

  • no i havnt gottin on i a couple weeks and wont b able 2 4 awhile either

  • Thanks heaps now i kno how i crashed

  • yeah same here dat really helped me out and dats how i crashed to by not tapping da back brake but now i dont hav to worry about that thx again for uploading it

  • really good information...this has helped me a lot with my bike control, i always wondered why i used to land back wheel first.

    thanks for uploading :)
