How to set up Acekard 2i for DS lite or original (Easy Way)

Dang maybe you can help. I've done the reformatting, downloaded the latest version from the acekard website and moved it over to the micro sd card. But when I try to start it all I get is a white screen. Can you help? Oh and if it helps,it shows up blank on the boot menu, as in no title or icon but a ds card inserted.

I did everything you said and my DS keeps on thinking that I've inserted "Chessmaster Ubisoft Entertainment" or something. Even when I try to start this, I simply get a white screen that never goes any where. Why isn't this working?

You sure you have a DS lite or DS original? Be certain of that first.

Download new file below the video, extract and put these two on your card:

__aio <---this one is a folder

akmenu4.nds

Things should work then.

@buhsnake Yes, I do have a DS Lite and yes, I do have those files on my micro SD. Then I put the micro SD into my Acekard and then I put that into my DSLite and the DSLite detects it as "Chessmaster Ubisoft Entertainment". I start this "game" and then I get this white screen that never loads or anything at all.

It's a really odd problem. Even when the Acekard has no micro SD inside of it, it still says this. Where did you buy your Acekard from because apparently, there are fakes.

I don't think you have a fake and that game, "Chessmaster", showing up is normal (it's for DSi compatability). Try using the panasonic SD formatter (link under video) on your microSD then put those two AKAIO files back and try again.

If that doesn't work go to GBAtemp.net, sign up, and ask the question there, a lot of experienced members should reply.

Please! Please! HELP!! I did a 3ds update on my acekard 2i from using it on a DS Lite and now my Acekard will not work :( It gives me some chinese letters and it says " Dorasu " on it.....when I click on it to show the menu both screens are all white????? What did I do?? Did I do the update wrong? Please Help!

Sounds like your AK2i's connector pins aren't making good enough contact in your DSlite. Use the paper trick (tape a piece of paper on the card to make a more snug fit inside your DSlite)

So, the Acekard 2i is compatible with the original ds? If so is there any benefit to getting the 2i if I only have an original ds or should I just get the Acekard 2?

Yes, it is. There is no advantage with the 2i if you just have a DS regular, however, should you ever decide to get a DSi (or even 3DS!) you might regret saving 2 bucks by getting the Acekard 2 as it will be incompatible with both. In short, I recommend the 2i.
