  • Celebrities don't get handcuffed.

  • George Jones - Drunk, pissed and coked up ..... damn, i thought this was gonna be my new favorite song

  • it is what it is let them be

  • wow!

  • i would give ten years of my life to hang out with George a few days back in the day... i heard one tale George was drunk and got into an argument before a show in Denver one night. what does George do lolololol he has a cab take him all the way back to his home in Georgia at the time drunk the whole ride home ..... Ole no show/the greatest ever

man im33 and missed out on the golden era of country music :(

  • honesty from a singer/celebrity!!! these days their agents & publicists would do anything to cover up or atleast play down the problems. George's generation (musically the best) could well be the last to tell us the truth. maybe thats why their music was so good & will live on forever, they sing from the heart about their trials & tribulations.

  • LMFAO Waylon Jennings telling someone to straighten up

They're both wrong when they say that they're not going to live forever though... Waylon's body may be gone but Waylon will never die, same with George.

  • the upper hand only goes to prove how strong we are. We are unique individuals and not to be judged by mistakes. I luv ya man, and can soooo relate to you! Rather be me than live behind a facade my whole life, trying to please others!

  • hey George, been there myself, as so many others have been. At the time, you DO think ur "OK", but not. The way I look at it is we're all stronger cuz we recognize our problem before it got WAY outa hand. We're all good people n shit happens. Don't make us "Bad", don't make us criminals. We wouldn't be human if we didn't make mistakes. The ones that make Huge mistakes are the strong-headed, risk takin', rebels. We're braver than the rest. The fact that we recognized and came out with

  • So what! I like George...I like booze and I like dope...Damn George, "You're no fun since I stopped drinkin', snortin', huffin' and slammin'? ""Things Have gone To Pieces Since You Left Me!""

  • Looked fairly healthy out there on the highway. You could tell the cop was sympathetic...to a point. LOL

  • AND THAN YOU TRYED LIKE THE DEVIL TO GET OUT OF THAT DAMN HOSPITOL IN BIMINGHAM LOL I KNOW I DID

  • That looks more like Jim Owen the sound man to me, I think bobby boy is more worried bout his meal ticket than anything else.

  • I know how you feel. I got rowdy many nights. just George and I, no one to care or to blame.I love you George .Thank you for a good time. take care good ol" buddy!!!

  • "nosir"

  • I love George Jones.Hes my all time favorite singer, we're very lucky that hes still alive, after everything that hes been through!

  • Anyone who wants to know the Hell George lived trough should read his autobiography entitled "I Lived to Tell It All."

  • @Cowesset I've read that book and I'll tell you what, the title is very appropriate.

  • Wanna keep your kids off drugs just show them what happened to george and they'll

    understand.

  • The man takes the bottle then the bottle takes the man

  • Drugs are fun.

  • cocaine is a hell of a drug

  • A true living legend that would certainly be dead if he had not got the help he needed to quit. :-)

  • well george we all have problems famous or not we r still human nobody's perfect and it dont matter to nme i l;ove you always will!u r my 1 and only favorite country singer of all,god bless!!!!

  • just makes me want to listen to more of his music...its true and its from the heart..something that is not found in todays crap

  • Yeah, he may be clean, sober and responsible now... but I wish he would take responsibility for the kids and grandkids he has. He stopped talking to my mom 30 year ago. Alright "grandpa" George, step it up

  • Office did his job...!

  • This hole clip it's freedom of the press ,however George was was right by asking/ not to film it .

  • George he keeps on the real...! Now listen he is just a Man...!

  • @kentucky9000 just man man yes, the best singer yes

  • This an't right

  • Its not funny on the Real...! Well...!

  • Man ! i am glad George has a good humor...!

  • them dand cops for aresten George If it was me I would of just shook his hand told him how great of a singer he is and took him where he wanted to go so he wouldnt have a reck.. George Jones is the best

  • i think that George deserves to have a movie made about him and what it was like having a country music career in the golden age of country. because his music is good/the best and a movie is what this man deserves. And that might teach some of the SO CALLED "contry music singers" today the true meaning of good ole country music like what George,Johnny, all Hanks,Porter,Buck,Merle, and so many more made, i think you get the point. I dont know bout you but thumbs up for THE KING.

  • Why relive the past over and over,George is a reformed man, living a good ,clean life,Maybe you have lived a perfect life and have no regrets, thats why you have to relive Georges for him,i think its a sad video and should be deleted from you tube,it aint doing anyone anygood.hope you are proud for posting it sado.

  • @mhairibarry I think you have missunderstood the whole point with the uploading of this piece of treasure.

  • @mhairibarry wow do u have trouble dealing with history. How about looking at it as a ray of hope for people looking for someone who has made it through. maybe watching this video they could relate and it might click something to start a change in them. I love GJ and ur a selfish prick

  • @mhairibarry Glad you posted it. People need to see it. It will make people appreciate and love George that much more. Don't let no one tell you that you done wrong, because you did not. Thanks for posting.

  • @mhairibarry spoken like a true cry baby

  • it takes a hell of a man to stand up in front of the country and tell people he had a problem. we all love ole george and if he can quit then we all can. ive been clean now from alcohol for over 18 years. i always felt like i didnt have a problem because i loved myself when i drank. it was everybody else who had the problem. but seriously though i wish i had the money back i spent on alcohol and parties i had from it. i could live for two years alone on that money. sad but true. godbless

  • I love u George you are the greatest voice in country music

  • I'm sorry, but anyone who doesn't think this is funny doesn't have a very good sense of humor.

  • what year was that does anyone know?

  • hahahaha ya gotta love him!

  • George may show up flyin high if George shows up at all

  • that cop looks like jay leno

  • Qutmaster - hope that you feel yourself as better George, and spend the best time, with your sweetheart. You know. It's the thought that counts. And, only time will tell. Love ya! Leslie

  • haha @ 0:37 the cops: "COME ON NOW, GEORGE!"

  • Oh, great, another hard livin', wife-beatin', god fearin', redneck who cleans up his act and finds christ. How original. Jones was more interesting on the sauce anyway. Anyone who's capable of sporting a hairstyle like that for the past fifty yrs has to have a screw loose somewhere. Waylon, Kristofferson and Cash are the only three from that whole era that matter to me

  • George jones is a human being. He just happens to sing some of the greatest music ever. If he had not been through what he had been maybe that would be different. No matter what he is still one of the only singers I'll pay to see in concert. Him and Charley Pride.

  • there is noting funny about drugs or drinking all the time im glad he got help

  • Comment removed

  • This is NOT funny whatsoever. . .

  • my daughter took the greydog to CALGARY AB to see him sing. I saw him in Vernon a few years ago. We were both impressed with his voice and his commitment to putting on a good show. As for his drinking days , I bet he wishes that he"d given it up a lot sooner. Drunks are not pretty creatures.

  • you are drunk no i am not yes you are no sir funniest part

  • I love you George!

  • George Jones is the best and will always be the best damn country music singer a round. I still listen to him sing everyday and he has inspired me to write songs and I look up to him and all hes been through has made the man you see today and it may have been a long road but he kept us with him a long the way. The awesome possum GEORGE JONES

  • The past can make you stronger but it can also keep some down, I chose to learn from the past but go on, its no good to dwell, the main thing is George survived for himself, his family, and his fans. I thank goodness he and his daughter Georgette have got a good relationship now.

  • 1:12 fuck da police.

  • Who here would like to have a video on Youtube of their lowest moment? Jesus forgives him, the people he hurt forgive him, so nobody else has the right to hold his past against him.

  • you are drunk!!, no im not, so sir lol

  • i bet him and waylon had some crazy times back in the day

  • sorry to say this this video should go away. Its over said and done, the past. I told George to quit punishing himself. us fan's need to let his past go. nancy tells him too but it don't do no good. fans time to petition George to let his past go and live for tomrrow. the past does no good.

  • @davidgmetoo I disagree with you.

I do believe that to know the past make you aware of who you are and what you become and hopefully help you navigate for the right direction.

  • @davidgmetoo

I couldn't agree more. The more you focus on the past, the more likely you are to repeat it. Once you have taken responsibility for your actions and repented, you move on.

  • @davidgmetoo These hard times that George went through and lived is part of what makes George Jones who he is..Like Waylon said they counted him out ten thousand times and he kept coming back!!and I think George should be a role model to all addicts or people who are down look at the obstacles hes overcame and the heights hes been to in his life..George is the real article he don't think hes better and he wasn't given an easy way but he loves to sing and thats why hes out there at near 80 yr old

  • @davidgmetoo I know excactly what you mean. I've been a George Jones fan all my life and didnt know about his abuse. But I love him even more now after reading his book and seeing this. He is honest and a good person. Perhaps this could help somebody.

  • looks like the revenuers never did find his pappy's still.Right on,goerge, keep tearin' it up and screw the haters.

    whew................white lightnin'.

  • WAIT...isnt this the Dewey Cox story?

  • the HIghwaymen have clairvoyance to do whatever they want at any point in time. past, present or future. It is a few people who are given the gift of such beauty. to withstand the burden must be something. They were forgiven before they were born. And God Bless me if i see them in the after-life!

  • @roscogruen but George is not a Highwayman. Well... he do lives on the highway now ad then, but he was never in the group the highwaymen. It was Willie, Waylon, Kris and Johnny.

  • Read Tammy Wynette's autobiography Stand By Your Man if you want the real dope on George. Find out how many times he destroyed and levelled their house with a bulldozer whilst under the influence of Satan's spittle. That woman should be canonised.

  • your right. jim carrey could pull him off

  • Jim Carrey should play him in a movie!

  • That was funny I shit man. I wanna see him do Dee-Doodle the duck!

  • @doobiesmoke15 That's funny, I've wanted to see that myself. Apparently Dee-Doodle came out on some radio show he and Waylon were on. Wish I had a copy.

  • @graylyns As someone on TV once said if you do moonshine and cocaine it will make you into an animal, and not necessarily a cool animal like a wolf or a gorilla. You might become a duck!

  • @doobiesmoke15

Or an old man. But really, I do love the Possum!

  • Jesus Christ, this is hilarious! Is this what Tammy Wynette went through?

  • Waylon Jennings telling George to straighten up! LMAO

  • Did you know Slash told Axel he was messing up also

  • We love you George.

  • lmao gotta love good ole George

  • Cop:"you are drunk"George:"no Im not"Cop:"yes you are"George:"no sir..."

  • LOL!!! Glad you captioned that part. Too funny.

  • Bless his heart, that's why intervention is good. Now if someone would help me, but you gotta want the help first.

  • It takes a hell of a MAN keepin' up with The Jonesin' !

  • Thank God, he made it thru all this. No Matter what, I love this guy. My favorite singer.

  • George I have played CM for years not to your achievements but I had similiar bouts with the booze and drugs..No one can get thru to you until you are almost dead or almost homeless.I'm so glad I grew up with your music and seeing you at different times..Thanks for the Memories and no matter what I still will play your songs..Take care

  • George Jones is a BMF. Everyone mellows with age. He hung tough for a long time. Now he's aged and mellowed, they all do, if they don't die first. He should have stomped that camera and bitch slapped the camera man, what did he have to lose anyway. Sure glad he's still with us! Thanks for the post, although it's a little defamatory. How does anyone know he was "coked up"?

  • "How does anyone know he was "coked up"?"

Are you fucking retarded? Him and Waylon did a shit ton of blow.

  • I guess you were there with him when this went down and you know exactly what he was under the influence of. I'm just saying whether he was, or wasn't, maybe he did, maybe he didn't, without any proof you have nothing! Anything else is just hearsay, or an allegation . No need in stating either of the two as "fact"

  • I dunno man. I think you may be on more shit than he was not to know this. It's well documented. I honestly don't see why you even give a shit.

  • @aeroshine well... read his biography and you will doubt no more...

  • I know 'cause I read his autobiography....

  • does he stil have that place in sam rayburn texas...Jones Country? Does he still live there?

  • his career went downhill when he/ his managers tried to feed off this whole "I'm an irresponsible drunk who misses my ex wife gig". Although not too far from the truth they sure did hype alot of it up to sell records.

  • That arrest was a set up. The camera just happened to be there? Yeah right. I don't blame possum for getting po'd about it. He should have stomped that camera guy.

  • In Georges first biobgraphy, he acknowleges it was a a set up, but he was very drunk and high.....lol...

  • yeah, that's a howler

  • Does anyone know the title of the song George Jones sang with Dolly Parton in or around 2006-2007? It is a song about his life struggles. Thanks.

  • i think the song your looking for might be 'the blues man'... its a great song

  • if youre thinking of blues man, hank williams jr wrote that in 1980, its about him.

  • I AM NOT DRUNK.... classic

  • I love George's autobiography "I Lived to Tell It All". I knew he was bad off for a long time, but I had no idea how bad he was. There's a reason the book has that title, because it's a miracle he survived it. Many have died from much less.

  • not funny i love ol george GOD belssed him with amazing talent

  • George is a true country music legend. These so called "country" musicians of today are a joke. George, Waylon, Johnny, etc. lived the life they sang about. Today's "country" musicians wouldn't last an hour in George's shoes back in the day.

  • George Jones, the last true country music singer alive !!

  • George you are a legend, glad you made it through the hard times

  • lol ' i got into drugs then i relly got into bad shape'. greatest country singer ever love you george. i would quite my job and sell my house to go drinking one night with jones to see if i could hang.

  • Can't anybody just say something nice on here?

  • David Wilcox was all i remembered getting Pissed. heh

  • The good life doesn't always come easy

  • I snorted lines of coke with George Jones back in the day, I surprised he's got any cartilage left in his nose..... lol

I too loved cocaine but now I can't stand the way it smells....lol

  • thats good

  • dont i know

    * crack a bottle *

  • "I've been cuffed on dirt roads, I've been sued over no shows." from the song Blues Man.

  • George. You had your troubles. But, you are still the KING!!

  • DAMN RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • George is still King!!

  • Recall seeing the arrest on the 6 p.m. news way back then....geez...he was messed up.

  • "The whole neighborhood knows Jones is home drunk again." George is the VOICE of country music and thank God he found Nancy and finally sobered up. Read his book "I lived to tell it all." It's amazing what he went through.

  • There is a new movie coming out where Clint Eastwood plays George Jones. It's called Every Which Way But Loose.

  • Is that the one where the Waylon Jennings role is played by an orangutan?

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Genius!

  • he lived to tell it all!

  • It's sad to observe the GREAT George Jones like this but he's still the GREATEST Country Singer that has ever lived as far as I am concerned. I saw him perform here in Toronto CANADA last April 8th and he put on an INCREDIBLE Show. it was one of the BEST evenings of my life!!! LONG LIVE GEORGE !!!

  • This is kinda funny.

  • love you linda, steve

  • every great artist must destroy themself. if they survive, then they are immortal.

  • I got no showed on Sunday night in Oshkosh Wisconsin

  • george jones is the best singer ever!

  • I remember seeing this arrest. It was on the 6 o'clock news (the camera crew at the scene was from the local news), and I was watching with my grandmother, a huge Jones fan.

  • George will alway's be one of the great's...Steve D

  • The one and only... first time I saw George , I was 10 yrs old... that was a long time ago... I'm talking distance and yrs. See him now folks... while you can... he is the best.

  • You're a good man George! Don't let them tell you any different.

  • He's a drunk, pissed and coked up LEGEND! Everybody makes mistakes. Fans love will always be with George.

  • i agree. everyone makes mistakes--its life. its not the end of the world

  • It's a pêriod of his life who inspire him for more song...it's not a mistake, it's the way he was living and he made great song about it.

  • thats why he sang 'choices'!

  • yeah,pretty much so.He isn't the same man today..for the better.

  • yes, it would be really interesting to have the whole documentary!

  • Does anyone know what documentary this is from?

  • the bull crap and aa club bull ____

  • Does anyone know what documentary this is from?

  • It seems like most all of the really great artists have some kind of drug/booze problem, and I think it's because the sensitivity it takes to be a great artist, makes them reach out to a substance that can numb them to the harsh reality of the world. I LOVE GJ, and I only wish he'd been able to get off the stuff when he was still with Tammy, who is one of my IDOLS. RIP, GJ & TW. XXXOOO

  • george jones is alive buddy

  • Everybody screws up I am glad he got back on the horse and sobbered up.

  • We love you George --'cuz you sing like an angel.

  • the country gangsta george jones, rock on

  • keef186 sure reads a lot of things, so he says.

  • at least hes honest

  • erma--he has to be honest to stay well.......I only wish Elvis could have overome like George and Johnny did, but then he didnt have the woman in his life that they had.........

  • Drunk? Him? never

  • Here in Alabama we called him "NO SHOW JONES"--but you have to admire him...its a horrible disease

  • yes we do. We do admire him though. He is an awesome artist...

  • There will never be another George Jones, he was the best, his voice is unbelievable, you cannot mistake his voice singing or talking, he's UNIQUE

  • Damn there aint no body like ole George Jones, he is so cool and so full of life!! I give him credit for sobbering up.

  • wow, ive never seen him like that before...

    his hair was messed up!

  • I read in his biography that his wife took his car keys so he couldn't drive to buy more booze.

So what does he do? He takes his lawnmower and drives it along the highway to the liquor store!

    Classic story.

  • theres a vince gill video where at the end his wife takes his keys "but she forgot about (his) old john deere" and he passes george jones on his lawnmower in the street. good stuff!

  • George Jones is a legend..he always will be..I love George Jones he is my favorite country singer of all time I saw him in Bristol TN about 2 yrs ago for my 16th birthday I got a pic with him..I love him..he's 76 years old and still touring..We love you George!!

  • George Jones is amazing, and all great people have their vices.

Does anyone know where I can find footage of Jones playing with Keith Richards?

  • <
