  • Oh man waren das noch Zeiten ;)

    I LOVE IT..

  • My quest to re-live the 80's is now complete. I can die in peace now.

  • wow I do remember this sat mornings!....Is it me or does Meatball look like Chumlee from pawnstars?

  • @notaclerk1 I was 11 or 12 when this was on. I used to skip my music lessons on saturday mornings to watch this :D

  • I was in 1st grade when this was on! This was real Saturday Morning!

  • *looks at video and picture of jack black* How oddly prophetic

  • ...its hard to believe this was a MARVEL cartoon!

  • @BrooklynChivalry You didn't know?!?! Man, Meatball lost 150 lbs and changed his named to Robert Downey Jr. just to play Iron Man, and Spaghetti changed her name to Jessica Alba and became "The Invisible Woman"

  • @BrooklynChivalry It was shown on CBS Saturday "STARCADE" back in 1982 .

  • @BrooklynChivalry I can't believe this was what happened with the guys from DePatie-Freleng!

  • I remembered the words to this cartoon intro and I haven't seen it since it stopped airing on tv. Was it only on one season?

  • This takes me back. This and Pandemonium had a pretty catchy intro song.

  • GAY

  • Oh my crap I was just 8 years old again :D

  • Man, this takes me WAAAAAAAY back! I always thought Spaghetti was hot!!

  • @rang3r34 I agree!Spaghetti was HOT!And I was really surprised that the artists got away with the BOOTY SHORTS on a Saturday morning cartoon character! It should've been call Meatball and Sexy!!!

  • @pumpkinking422 For real, buddy!!!

  • @pumpkinking422 Sweet!! I had WAAAAAAY too many crushes on cartoon girls!!!

  • wow, i feel like i'm three again! i miss all these cool shows!

  • been lookin 4 this 4eva!!! TY!TY!TY!

  • what in heaven´s name is the dog singing....this is really killing me...i never understood it.....????? :D

  • @bgurl81 Well, I did post this video on Retrojunk (dot) com, along with the Lyrics

  • @bgurl81 I know this might be way late in answering your question.. but the Dog's name was woofer. (Skinny guy was Clyde)

  • @bgurl81 The text is "But it's Quaids fault!?"

I think that is the thin guy (a gilligan rip-off, certainly)

As far as I remeber, the dog never said anything, he only had his "panting laugh" moment... doing nothing but grinning in the cam wqith a panting laugh xD

  • @dadog82 I thought it was "But it's graceful!" Certainly being said with 'pzazz' if you can call it that.

  • Loved this show and theme song!

  • I remember this cartoon having a cool intro. But I don't remember a single episode!

  • This was my fave cartoon...knew the theme song by heart!!! Thank you for posting it brings back alot of childhood memories!

  • shameless scooby doo rip off

  • What I loved about this cartoon the most was CBS played it opposite The Smurfs. I absolutely hated those innocent little blue morons, and loved the fact that there was a good ol' Rock and Roll cartoon I could watch instead. My cousins didn't like it when they came over, but that was just tough.

  • This song popped into my head for no reason and here it is on Youtube! Thanks for posting!

  • Without a doubt, the best lyric of any cartoon theme song:

    Hey, clown... SIDDOWN!

Thanks heaps for this; I'm drowning in nostalgia!

  • he would do anything for love

    but he wont do that

  • Let me sleep on it

Baby, baby, let me sleep on it

  • Do you have any of these on VHS or DVD? I have shows to trade.

  • If anyone has these on video or DVD let me know, those little jingles in the show were really cool!

  • wow, where is this on dvd when u need it? lol. my fave cartoon from back in the day. i loved the music videos they had in between episodes. awesome!

  • Yeah, no dvds of this show ever came out. If you have the intro, does that mean you have the episodes?

  • I snagged this from CastroRanger.. he posted a full episode here on Youtube. he May have more.. but the episode I snagged this from was in German.

  • cool :-)

  • This used to be my favorite cartoon when I was a kid. Too bad it only lasted one season. I wish there were videos of whole episodes but I can't find them anywhere.

  • Looking for this for awhile, thanks for loading!

  • Why can I not add this to my favourites?

  • I don't know.. everything seem ok on this end..

  • I've tried it serveral times. I also received the message, that it was sucessfully added.

But it is still nowhere to be found among my favourites.

  • It's wild how your conscious mind has totally forgotten something then you see something like this and bam it comes back. I believe this was some sort of homage to the singer Meatloaf who was real popular during the time.

  • I remember this cartoon! my mother hated it and said it was immoral becasue there

was three of them and only one bed. LOL!!

  • boy i´m still remember this^^ i rly liked it as a child... getting old :D

  • I saw this once, about 23 years ago. Strangely it's exactly what I remember. I wonder why I never thought to look it up in my last 12 years of internet surfing.

  • those were cool shows i remember pandamonium came after it made by the same company, good saturday morning memories.

  • They're yelling "YEAHHH!" at the end of the intro, just like the Flintstone Comedy Show.

  • Wow, I haven't seen this in like 20 years. Man, do I feel old.

  • Wow!!! I thought I was the only weirdo that still remembered this show! lol. It's good to know that it really did exist.

  • Well, now we know who Coop's parents are. ~_^

(It *would* explain a few things) X3

Then again, one wonders how they'd react to having a giant robot (named Megas) bursting out of their garage...or their son's new girlfriend/roommate.

Anything can happen in a cartoon, after all.

(along with the usual fan-made stories and artwork)

Anyway, thank you for posting this intro, Jazzy. It rekindled a few memories from my childhood.

(Not all of them happy but what can you do? *shrug*) X3

  • Coop of Megas XLR... WOW, I can see the resemblance.. ha ha ha Great way of making a Connection.... Too Funny

  • OMG!!! I remember this. I've been looking for this. Thanks so much for uploading this.

  • I remember this show. It was freaking weird.

  • "The Honeymooners" form a rock band & hit the road... That's pretty much what this show was. So glad a friend found this... Now I have proof of this show existing! Before, every time I mention this show to someoine while talkin' of cartoons, then try to describe it to them, they'd look at me like I just said I'm from another planet!

Here's hoping it goes to DVD soon!

  • You and me both, man! I'm glad someone finally posted it. I was starting to think I dreamed it or something.

  • absolutely i was begining to think id dreamed the whole series.LOL

  • @Henrimonster I thought I was crazy and this wasnt a real show. My brother is 2 years older than me and we used to watch this show and when I sang him the song he said I made it up!

  • I can't believe I used to like this crap as a kid.

  • Wasn't this show based on Meatloaf? I havent seen this since 1982! Thanks, I'd appreciate it if someone knows, I'm writing a book on cartoons of that era and need info.

  • Yep, was a 1 season CBS's Meatloaf cartoon.

  • CBS's 1982-1983 Saturday Morning Line-Up 8:00am Speed Buggy 8:30am Sylvester & Tweety/Daffy & Speedy 9:30am The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show 10:30am Gilligan's Planet 11:00am Pandamonium 11:30am Meatballs & Spaghetti 12:00pm The Popeye and Olive Comedy Show 12:30pm The New Fat Albert Show 1:00pm Blackstar 1:30pm The CBS Children's Film Festival
  • voices of Ron Masak as Meatballs, Sally Julian as Spaghetti, Barry Gordon as Clyde, and Peter Cullen as Woofer. Funny show if pre-empted too much from the CBS schedule because of their NCAA basketball and football games.

  • Tbank you very much! I have waited about 20 years for this. I saw MeatballsSpaghetti at the end of the 80s in the German TV. Thanks.

  • Finally!!!! Ive been waiting 28 years to see this again. Everybody thinks im crazy when i mention this show. Thanks for posting!
