"Can't sing it anymore" - what??? There were no high notes in this song and he always sang it as if you do while doing dishes. The song sounds exactly the same.
I actually heard that Richard Sanderson, after his relatively brief career as a pop singer, worked as a composer for broadcasting stations for the last three decades. So it must be that, apart from age factors, he simply did not sing as much for too long.
