Overnight Tornado in Monroe County, MI (Local Forecasts) 6/6/10

i lived in monroe 722 north monroe street we got hit a tree and our roof pretty bad i moved though

Funny thing is I live less than two miles as the crow flies from estral beach I was up the whole night I heard sirens go off my dish reception cut out I went to my upstairs was looking tht way and saw absolutely nothing and tht was the one at like 2 in the morning

I thought the storms were over so I went to bed. Luckily my window was open and I heard the sirens because a lot of my roof was damaged or gone...almost $100,000 to get it fixed!

I live in Monroe off lake erie and i saw a funnel and my window shot out which shot glass at my back i got my 4 yr old daughter off couch just a second b4 glass hit my back and glass was laying where she was shed of died if i was to late i feel very bad for all hit by this storm i went outside and it was a mess i did see red cross but took our address name of st but never heard from them so idk how to feel about that some other videos i seen i saw ppl laughing its very sad

@reign123overyou I know someone who almost died in Estral Beach due to a tree hitting their bedroom, but thankfully, they weren't in there at that time.

actually, there were a couple of spots that tornadoes touched down in lenawee county, but the damages were minor compared to dundee and lakeview and millbury. i know down the road from where i live that a shop barn was destroyed and a couple of semi's had flipped (the owner's house of a local trucking company). Lenawee county just got real lucky, but unfortunately others were not so lucky.

Saline Ann arbor area was supost to get it bad but thank lord it went right passes us and I heard everything off the highway got hit bad

i was surprised that a tornado didnt touch down in adrian! the power in my house is out and wont be back on until tomorrow sometime, at least thats what the people told us.

@countrygirl0421 Yeah, there was a tornado in both Hillsdale County and more intensely in Monroe County, but for some reason, not Lenawee County...

Too bad that storm didn't hit Oakland County. I wish a tornado would hit my house. It's worth $90,000 less than I paid for it.

I Just drove down there from Ypsilanti. Boy Splash Universe is destroyed. as well as Spirit Ford. There service dept is really damaged.. Hope things get better soon down there! Especially since the summer season just started!

@andersonvillas1277 Yeah, it that was a historical storm for the Dundee area. A state of emergency was issued there due to the damage. Yep, this is only the beginng for this severe weather season.....
