Absolutely love this woman! A golden voice that should be ALL OVER the radios. Some of the singers today could take some lessons from this beautiful woman.
I love Tiffany and she's wonderful when you meet her as well. I knew she would wear this song out when she sang it and do Aimee Mann justice. This always sounded like a Tiffany song to me, didn't realize it until now. Thanks for the upload!
I love this song, and this version is good too, but it is not about domestic violence. It's a about a woman with a man who doesn't want her to express herself. He is trying to make her conform, as is evident from the Til Tuesday video. I still prefer the Til Tuesday version.
I was never really a Tiffany fan growing, but I have to say i am impressed with her voice, and I agree with some of the other comments that this is one of the better covers of the original Til Tuesday/Aimee Mann song.
Plus the age monkey does get everyone. I think that she has dressed appropriately for her age and the venue, and she has made this song her own, its not just a cover like Courtney Love and Carrie Underwood's versions. Go Tiffany I'm with you on this one.
well i am so glad that every one is in shape and that you all have a superior mind and body,i would think that from the nature of these fat comments you must all be in your 20,s or late 30,s,and thats ok. what you dont understand is the fact that you are blindly immortal for now,but trust me , time and tide waite for no man,and your time will come. mans youth is magic filled with bliss, pain, and joy and he never knows its worth till it is gone from him forever. so enjoy it while you can.
@snapperjohn1000 Its funny b/c I actually think she looks great now, better than before. :) One thing I know is when you get older, sometimes your body naturally holds more weight too. Growing up, my sister 7yrs my senior was very thin until she around 17yrs and she suddenly started to carry more weight, she's just naturally heavier. This didn't finish for me till around 24yrs to be honest, but I am not as heavy as my sis, but I did start carrying more on my frame between 18yrs-25yrs.
well none of these two beat the original by Aimee Man and "Til Tuesday. I agree anyway with you. I like the way Tiffany sings it, good music arrangement, this song is great anyway. Cheers
Funny thing: I happened upon her vid for "I Think We're Alone Now" and found myself thinking "Saaay...I don't recall her being, like, a hottie and what-not!" Today, while browsing clips by Til Tuesday in a fruitless attempt to find an un-fucked/not banned copy of the original video and I see...oh, Lord Tiffany! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!
"In the dark, I'd like to eat some pie..*ahem!*...I mean, 'read his mind,'
But I'm fattened...*ahem!*..frightened of the things I might find."
The song was originally about a lesbian couple being in the closet but the record label wouldn't allow that so they changed all the "she" to "he" in the song and made the video look like domestic abuse.
you know i hate it when ppl speculate who told her this is a song about domestic violence? when i hear this song it makes me think of a man who dont appreciate his girlfriend thats all and i'll bet im right
@donnylovesayesha1 The band's video for this song depicts domestic violence. That's most likely where people gain the assumption. Also, funny how no one talks about it originally almost having a lesbian theme ;-) Oh dear, what then would they say!! haha
@donnylovesayesha1 Depends on how you define domestic violence. it's beyond just not being appreciated, it's about a coercive relationship and spiritual and physical abuse are depicted in the original video. Aimee Mann has said that it's about her breakup with Hausmann the drummer, who she complained was too controlling. In the video she's clearly intimidated by the boyfriend but busts out and finally speaks up at the end, standing up and screaming at him in Carnegie Hall.
this song was playin n a store i was n and it reminds me of this girl she better behave cause homeboy is 2 seconds from boltin out the door hes tired of her mess
Ehh! At least it's a a bit better than Carrie Underwood's attempt, nonetheless, she doesn't do it any justice either. It's like someone trying to sing "I always live you" by Whitney Houston. NO one can do that or should even try. Same with this Aimee Mann song.
I hated teeny pop and especially Tiffany back then. Over the years, I've become passionate about female vocalists, and I can honestly say that Tiffany has really gotten better over the years. I can still hear bits of her teen style, but her maturity and experience shines through. and I agree, what the hell was she thinking when she got dressed?
I have always loved this song and had loved Tiffany since the 80s she did a good job singing this tune and any song that Carrie Underwood sings sucks she has no talent and shouldn't have quit her day job
I'm a Tiffany fan for 20 years and also a Carrie Underwood fan. If you ask me to evaluate this 2 singers on this song, Tiffany does a better job. I feel Carrie screams at times on this song.
I confess I didn't know what to expect when I clicked this because I love the Til Tuesday version and I was not a fan of teen pop music back when Tiffany was popular. That said, I think this is a great arrangement and wonderful interpretation of the song and clearly Tiffany has "grown up" musically.
I was checking out 'Til Tuesday and Aimee Mann videos and gave this a listen just to see how bad it would be - it is Tiffany, after all! But damned if she doesn't give a mature, respectable rendition of this great song. I think she has finally accepted growing up - check out the difference in her appearance and dress between this vid and the ones made just the year before.
Oh I couldn't care any less how much she weighs. I like her voice, not her body. I was just commenting on what was obvious. Her arms look bigger too. Meh, it's alright. Look at what Boy George looks like nowadays so I say..hey! It's all good.
Absolutely love this woman! A golden voice that should be ALL OVER the radios. Some of the singers today could take some lessons from this beautiful woman.

Oh Tiffany, still singing other people's songs. Oh well, I suppose as long as she has a market and can make a living off it, success to her!
She's looking a little thicker nowadays. Or is it the dress? She's not big in any way but she had lost some weight off some reality show right?
