it is doing this because it sees its reflection and cardinals, robins and blue birds are very territorial. shade the winfdow so there is no reflection and it will stop. blinds on the inside will not work because it wont block the reflection

ok clue, the bird always attempts to fly at same spot, a guess is the reflection it see's in window is that opening in the tree's behind it

A pigeon's hit my window twice. It's scary coz its so loud. But the first time it happened it left a hilarious bird-shaped smudge on the window with a lone feather stuck to the centre of it. Top stuff. (the bird was fine after btw)
