Ray Kurzweil says that in 30 years we'll be having sex with robots. I think it'll be a lot sooner than that. Give it 5-10 years from now and you'll have reactive ones, and another 10 years for fully functional AI.

It's a shame they style the hair so it hangs over the eyes so they conceal one of the most important cues to being a human. They did that on purpose. They might as well had it wear sunglasses.

Disney's animatronics have no finger joints and are limited to single repeated recordings while the Actroid has databanks and voice recognition so that it can answer questions about directions to its "favorite color". It's also notable that it is a free-standing robot that is able to balance itself while its leg movements are not as complex as that of the Asimo.
