  • Oh man! You're a killer player and singer!

  • That was effen' awesome!

  • love your tone!!

  • This is awesome man! You are the real deal.

What kind of tele is that and what are you playing through?

I just subscribed and look forward to seeing more videos.

Elvis and James Burton are two of my long time music heroes. You do them justice!

  • love to know the pickup notes or tabs for the way you play this song. one of the best I've heard at mixing bass line and lead. with tabs one day I could play like you

  • Badass!!!!

  • as i understand, polk is the small pouch that the vegetable used be carried in once it was picked, the vegetable so to speak was the"salad" and the pouch was the polk, so it was called "polk salad". something like "pouch vegetable" )))

  • Nice work man......cool and groovy !!! Love people that love playing - !

  • It's "Poke" Salad Annie-- or as some Tennesseans call it "Poke Sallet." So the question is now: "What is poke salad?"

"Poke" is a form of edible greens, maybe related to dandelions, that grows like weeds everywhere. Historically, poor southerners would go a pick a "mess of poke" and, in fact put it in a paper poke from the grocery store to carry home.

So instead of buying a head of lettuce, the chilluns would be sent out to pick a mess o'poke to add greens with the hog jowls for supper.

  • GRANDE BOBBY..........

  • Nice work...but isn't it Po'k Salad Annie, as in Pork Salad????? Polk just doesn't make sense to me. (Unless it's related to Fort Polk in Alexandria, LA) But that doesn't make sense either.

  • Thanks Man for your nice and funny comment, like I thing you are :-)

You should get more into Elvis Presley music than you will have prrove that this is a real song :-)

Maybe now with my poor and simple clarification , this words will start to make sence for you too ;-)

    Victor

  • It HAS to do with Fort Polk and Polk Salad is a plant, who can be eaten.

  • @dmacmurray if im not mistaken i think the title has something to do with what they eat somewhere in the south states in the US. I think there is a clip where the original writer tony joe white explains about this:)

  • @dmacmurray lol Polk Salad is a green that grows in the yards, yoou can cook it, alot grows in georgia where im from. :P
