  • dude what is this this is fuckn rad!!

  • Did anyone else noticed that at 0:39, the ship (on the left side) had the wrong ID number? In that shot it reads NCC-1701, not NCC-1764. I've seen that episode twice, and I just now spot it.

  • @archangelH1

That was probably due to a quantum flux, where the ship disappeared from our universe to be replaced with a near exact duplicate from a PARALLEL universe! : p

  • @archangelH....yes, I saw it the first time I viewed this clip. Wondering if a mistake had occurred I reviewed episode 95 (twice) and could not find the scene with the "NCC-1701" markings. It would appear Monte R Johnjulio added that scene for dramatic effect. Nevertheless, as a final result it is a excellent production.

  • I mean which Season and which episode?

  • @LBStudios ....the Defiant appeared in the episode entitled "In a Mirror, Darkly", Season 4, episodes 94 & 95

  • @geekeing

    Thank you very much.

  • Which episode was where the Defiant was apared in the series Star Trek Enterprise?

  • Curious as to why the TOS Constitution doesn't have top saucer phaser banks. Can you say design flaw? Also, I hate to be nitpicky, but when the Defiant destroys the Avenger, the first photon barrage looks "weird". More of a VFX error.

  • Wasn't that a Vulcan ship destroyed at 0:39???

  • @terentii ....indeed it was a Vulcan ship....a Rebel Vulcan ship which dare to defy the Empire.

  • Amazing job!

But instead of the Defiant blowing up the NX-01 and other random shit you should have made a video of Enterprise (NCC-1701) and Defiant actually fighting each other!

But I definitely liked the subtle Star Trek VI tribute at around 0:47!

  • These are the voyages of the U.S.S Black Pearl. Her ongoing voyage around the Caribbean to avoid dangerous cursed pirates and Squid-faced monsters. To boldly go where no pirate has ever gone before!

  • Pirates of Carribean Space!

  • whats the song called?

  • I'm inclined to agree

  • that's right Mungrymatt, Pirates music. I know that pales in comparison to the many original videos you've created and posted....ohhhh, yeah, you haven't actually gone to the trouble of creating any...never mind

    :)

  • @63mont I think the music fits this clip quite well actually.

  • @63mont I LIKE the pirates music.

  • Isn't there enough great musical scores in Star Trek to prevent you from resorting to Pirates of the Caribbean?

  • A fairer perspective might be that it illustrates just how advanced and powerful the constitutions were relative to their predecessors and how dominant they must have been when introduced.

TOS didn't show this fully as although they often referred to her as "the pride of the fleet", etc, most space based eps/movies had the ent face off against feasarius, V'Ger, Doomsday, space god of the week. The upshot was that we tended not to really see beastie she was meant to be as compared to her peers.

  • @spot261 Yes we did. Vs klingons, romulans, tholians, and gorn. The special effects were just too old for people to look at. :-(

  • Pirates of the carribean and star trek hmm..

  • Where....is the Defiant?

  • @davethecritter oh nm i get it

  • Is this from a videogame?

  • @eimb1999 no from "In a mirror darkly" two episodes of Enterprise's fouth season

  • LONG LIVE EMPERESS HOSHI :P

  • What i wanna know is why didn't john archer beam the cloaking device that he had on the enterprise off before he blasted it. with its shields down they could not have stoped him?

  • @FLCNPUNCH The mirror NX enterprise had been destroyed during the theft of the USS Defiant shown in this video. The NX class ship that is shown here is the ISS Avenger. It did not have a cloak on board, since in the previous episode, it was mentioned to be a Suliban cloak that the captain of the enterprise had "acquired" specifically for the mission.

  • Having never seen that episode i'm going to assume that Kirk got so pissed off he traveled back in time to murder everything he could gaddamn see.

  • @KrazyKommieKiller its the defiant that kirk tried to rescue from the dimensional trap made by the Tholians actualy(TOS The tholian web) and after it disapeared from the REG universe it ends up back in time in the mirror universe where evil john archer takes it over(cause it has weapons that are better then his) and woops ass in it.

  • @KrazyKommieKiller Given that Kirk wasn't even on the Defiant...

  • bye bye nx01

  • If only they had remastered TOS this way :(

  • lol Pirates of the Caribbean music. Disney FTW

  • He's.... a space pirate?

  • Comment removed

  • I HATE THIS MUSIC!!!

  • I wish people would STOP using MY theme tune in their fuckin' videos!

    Sheesh!

  • These are the voyages of the U.S.S. Defiant. Its ongoing mission, to seek out new life forms and new civilizations...and to kick their asses

  • @Mkoberland And Send Archer to the pits of hades where he belongs!

  • @Mkoberland That could work for the Defiant Class Defiant as well.

  • The Defiant is from HELL!!!!!!!

  • OK it does say NCC-1701. That's from Star Trek V I think.

  • No, it read 1764.

  • holy crap it DOES say 1701 at 40 seconds i...i was looking at 42 where it went back to 1764! Awesome!

  • If only they remastered the original series like this...

  • Ugh. The Enterprise from that series was ugly as sin.

  • at 42 seconds it clearly shows NCC-1764 which was the Defiant...I cannot find a scene that shows 1701

  • @TheUsmcqb1979

Yeah, 1764 clearly at 0.25 min.

  • cool, fire without air

  • @pleite567 what about the air released from inside the ship?

  • @sm0kingJay there you have a point but still that's not that much, but we will see in time that that kind of stuff can, probally we will already be death xd

  • USS Defaint NCC 1764 is Badass & Evil!

  • @DaddlerTheDalek Yeah, the Defiant is definitely the Antichrist. Its entire crew murders each other, then it creates death and destruction in the mirror universe...

  • SPACE PIRATES! :D

  • anyone notice that the NX fires like more then 5 photon torpedoes at the defiant then when the defiant turns about and destroys it there is no damage to the part where it got shot?

  • @dapenguin2 That's because the Constitution class is the Chuck Norris of starships.

  • What I don't get from this ep. is, why did they have that blue hue to the Defiant's weapons? I thought weapons fire in TOS was red-orange, like anything else Federation, or at least they were that color in the Remastered versions. I haven't seen Tholian Web yet though, either in first cut or remastered.

  • @RingSight91 In the original series, the Phasers were Blue, as were the hand Phasers for the most part, the only I remember them being red was in 'Arena' and 'Who Mourns for Adonias'. The Torpedoes were sometimes Yellow.

    J

  • @Firrboxfryup Yeah I just re-played Balance of Terror. So the red-orange phaser fire only started in TNG? Or at least in the movies the Constitution-refit Enterprise fired in that shade for both phasers and photon torpedoes, as I recall. Were those apparently upgrades from the TOS weapons systems (read: blues was the only shade they could do in TV back then)?

  • @RingSight91 I guess so, the Blue Phasers in the Original series looked alot more like Phasers than the Red.

And yeh, in the Films, The enterprise, had Blue Torpedoes in Star trek I, red in all the others.

    Cheers

    J

  • @Firrboxfryup No, in the Motion Picture I remember the torpedo being Red. They had to fire one at a meteor while they were In Warp. It was causing some sort of Gravitational Anomaly when it got caught somehow in their Warp Field or something. Anyway, it was in their way, and it was the First Officer who decided to torpedo it, countermanding Kirk's order to use Phasers.

  • @RingSight91 I have the Directors edition, which has updated Graphics, they may have changed it.

    Cheers

    J

  • @RingSight91 No. The photon used in the wormhole in TMP was indeed blue, even in the director's edition. They changed it to orange after Nicolas Meyer started to direct the movies, and made it canon since, except for Shatner's 5. They also changed the impulse engine plasma from orange to red, then to blue in ST5, and back to red again. Creativity at its best.

  • @KJOSCOT Admittedly I saw TMP in a...Betamax rental. Tape must've been worn, lol? Saw ST2 in-theatre though, albeit I didn't get most of it at the time. Then I re-watched TMP in Laser. Good grief all these re-interpretations from different directors.

  • @RingSight91 Yeah. They all have their own subtle visions. Shatner was the one to introduce the Beretta-influenced assault phasers because he thought the ones they used in the first few movies looked like squirt guns. There are rationalisations to these little things. However, they kept to canon. It is the Berman/Braga/Abrams' camps that mess around with it by changing the major fundamentals of the story line. That is when the show starts to decay, and the fanbase starts to dwindle. Such as life

  • @KJOSCOT I dunno, I liked Abrams' version of the old Phaser Pistols. Instead of one beam like a Laser, I figure any weapons tech that can manipulate energy particles should be able to shoot it in discrete pulses. Also tre cool were the rotating heads showing Stun and Kill. Didn't care for the fake recoil acting though; it's not like the thing has so much moving mass like a semi-auto slide-action handgun.

  • lol@ 0:42 read the hull, it says ncc-1701...Gonna have to go back and see if they did that in the show, would be an awesome tribute.

  • @JWA8402 Yeah.. I snuck that in so I would have more Constitution-class footage. It's actually from DS9 "Trials and Tribbelations"

  • @63mont Sneaky, but well worth it. Mazel tov!

  • @JWA8402 Err no it says NCC 1764

  • @JOmonkeyJO Yes in the show I get that cuz 63mont already responded but in this video it does in fact say 1701

  • @JWA8402 Oh you mean 0:41?

  • @JWA8402 sorry both say ncc 1784, take a longer look u can see it.

  • @f1fana1 it clearly shows 1764 at 42 and 43 seconds...take a closer look when u arent stoned and u can see it

  • @usmcpanthersfan2 get fucked I dont get stoned, they both look the same u knob. get real u guys its not real, its a tv show... freaks

  • @usmcpanthersfan yes, he said as much that he switched in some footage from trials and tribulations. At 37 seconds to 40 seconds its 1701...Don't be so harsh.

  • Comment removed

  • @Pikachuforaiur dude...go to 38 seconds and watch it, left side of the screen. Do I need to take a screenshot? Even the host admits its there.

  • Comment removed

  • @JWA8402

Where are you looking? It says NCC 1764 just as it should.

  • @gamewizard look a few seconds before that, he did it on purpose

  • @gamewizard

Hey dude, 39 - 41 secs it shows NCC 1701. The Hull not the top of the ship. Peace.

  • @JWA8402 IT says NCC-1764

  • @Robloxvidcentral In the episode? Good to know, thanks.

  • @JWA8402 No it doesnt...it says 1764.

  • @KenrodimusPrime your talking about in the episode? Good to know, thanks.

  • MORE! MORE! MOOOOAAAAARRRR!!!!!!

Let's have a Constitution-class "Defiant" TV show or movie!

  • very awsome graphics

  • did the defiant fire on a vulcan ship

  • @puffles234 if u know of star trek and the mirror universe... this was the episode from enterprise based in the mirror universe!

  • or is it the nx enterprise?

  • how could an old constitution class destroy an akira class especialy design for combat O.o

  • @saleporc123 wasnt akira... was old enterprise... captain archers ship... so was inferior to the constitution

  • yeah! f+ck you, damn ugly nx whatever! ncc 1701 rules!

  • Defiant is not amused. >:O

  • One of the best episodes of Enterprise!

  • Those two episodes showed just how dangerous the old constitution class was.

  • @VinnyMonster1 It shows just how dangerous it was for ships built 100 years before it, that's like having a modern destroyer fight an Ironclad... :)

  • @Stikstofman True. But even so, the original series didn't have the sfx tech or the budget to do the Constitution Class credit.

  • Did Playmates make a toy of the Defiant and the Terran Empire Enterprise like they did the 1701 Enterprise. The also made a toy of the ISS Enterpise from TOS.

  • Gosh I love the Pre-Refit Constitution Class. <3 Even against modern designs, she looks as epic and classy as ever. I loved this episode a lot, even though I disliked Enterprise for the most part.

  • oops i meant 39 seconds

  • @edelmar17 Easter egg, perhaps?

  • at 0:41 seconds you can clearly see that it's the U.S.S Enterprise.... NCC 1701 registry painted on the hull

  • @edelmar17 Huh. Never noticed that before. :O Well spotted! It does indeed have the registry number NCC 1701 on it. Odd.

  • @edelmar17 looks cut in from "Trials and Tribble-ations"

  • @sirstrongbad Correct :)

  • Constitution class was a science vessel but in modern times everything must go fast and make boom :P

60` design of the Contitution looks funny compared to the NX

  • Ah, constitution class... The good old days...

  • I keep thinking that after the Terran Empire acquired access to 23rd Century Federation technology, they have not only a tech advantage over what would become the Alliance (Klingons and Cardassians), but over the regular Star Trek universe as well.

It would be interesting to see a future movie or webisode deal with this topic. "In a Mirror, Darkly" left behind too many unanswered questions.

  • In the regular Star trek universe, NCC-1764 was a Constitution class starship. Commander Archer and Hoshi Sato of the Mirror Universe might have learned this from the Defiant's library computer, but they concluded that access to the Federation's database be heavily restricted, if denied altogether.

Thus, the idea of NCC-1764 being declared a Defiant class in the Mirror Universe by the Terran empire seems plausable.

  • It blew a 22nd Century Tholian ship up with one Phaser blast. That is ownage. The Defiant could probally kick the 22nd Century Borg's ass.

  • I always thought that constitution class starships only had rear phasers not torpedoes

  • Um... guys, that second ship is an NX class, check the list. Defiant is smaller.

  • It's the Constitution class Defiant, from the Original Series, not the one from DS9.

  • check the constitutions registry at the end NCC1764 - USS Defiant ;) Just because it ain't THE defiant we know don't mean it is not a defiant :P

  • the defiant is not a class of ship

    its just the name

  • woo hoo the defiant constitution class kicks ass after it got from real universe to mirror universe in the past by the tos thoilans and then it kills tholian ass

  • Lux Aeterna. Thank you for not using it.

  • Mostly from "In a Mirror, Darkly", but very nice. Too bad they didn't try that sooner. UPN might have saved "Enterprise" before its own collapse. I'm not up to snuff on all the tech specs, but I liked the effects. Nice job, and thanks for the show!

  • LOL a ship from Kirk's era against one from Archer's would be like the Enterprise-D fighting against the original Enterprise NCC-1701

  • Play mirror theme at the same time with this muted it goes perfect

  • Constitution class ships did not have rear facing tubes... Or phasers. Tho, if you go by Mr Scott's guide to the Enterprise, they did add a photon tube in some of the later refits (Post 1701-A)

  • It would have if they could have made more detailed models in the 60's.

  • cool choice of music for this vid

  • Wonder why the ncc 1701 never fired her rear launchers not even in the movies

  • i loved these parts of enterprise.

  • GO MIRROR VERSE!

  • Defiant to the end.

  • THAT WAS TOTALLY COOL!!!

  • This vodio is AWSOME!!!!!

  • I ment video not vodio. Embarassing

  • You should have stuck with vodio. I think its a pretty rad word

  • oh c'mon that was funny

  • It is funny. I have no idea why I got the vote down.

  • Great editing & music! Would have loved

to have seen Gary Graham (as Soval) tho.

His expessions when the smaller ship

is destroyed is priceless. The anguish.

  • Defiant kicks ass lol

  • In a Mirror Darkly Part 2, And it is the USS Defiant NCC 1764, see 0:44, unfortunately the videos creator spliced in a scene from the end of enterprise which was actually the Enterprise NCC 1701, 0:39 - 0:43

  • Actually it was the defiant. It was in an episode that took place entirely in a parallel universe. Its a very very long story and hard to explain by typing it. Sorry I forget the name of the episode.

  • i looked at your profile, for a guy that says he knows so much about st, you certainly got this ass wrong. p.s. learn how to spell.

  • Is that Enterprise NX-01 firing on the USS Defiant. I thought it was destroyed by the Tholians. Would this be Columbia NX-02? (I haven't seen this episode so can someone fill me in?)

  • Hey there, it's the USS Avenger, another NX class ship in this mirror universe. The only other NX ship we see in the regular universe besides the Enterprise is the Columbia NX-02.

  • Oh, that explains a lot. Thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • Nope, It's an episode from the mirror universe, with the evil counterparts. The USS Defiant of the prime universe (see TOS:The Tholian Web) crossed to the Mirror universe but was displaced in time. To fully explain watch 'ENT: In a Mirror Darkly Part 1 and 2'. That is the ISS Avenger NX09

  • It's like they took a TMP Connie & retro'd it back for the show. I say that only because the rather large saucer reminds me of TMP. In the series it was much smaller.

  • i would say its a computer generated modle.

  • I agree. I meant that the style of the ship looks like the modelers took a TMP era & converted it backwards. It's just that the saucer looks bigger then the TOS I remember.

  • The good old days of Starfleet Battles & Tholian Webs. The truth is that Constitution Class ships didn't have rear firing torpedo's & only limited phasers but it's all in good fun.

  • Well technically we can say that Enterprise didn't have rear firing torpedoes and such, but we don't "know" that other ships in that class didn't.

Just yanking your chain in good fun! ;)

  • KenMacMillan:

LoL... no, we dont know any such truth. We just never saw the Enterprise use them. And actually, some of those additional phaser banks were made canon in Star Trek II when they should the Franz Josephs blueprints on the bridge (on screen=canon).

  • Hey that was the bomb! Do more like that. We finally can see the old connie doing something cool!

  • Wow, the music was appropriatly chosen for the combat scene. I think you've changed how I view the old Connie class. Its fearsome.

  • Yeah... its a beautiful thing when one them them "lets loose" while still serenely sailing by like it's just a walk in the park.

  • Not so sure about the music

  • lol...I waited the whole vid long to see Captain Sparrow jumping by...rofl

  • I got to admit, those old Constitution ship models look way out of place and kinda bland compared to the higher detail in current model ships. I know people want consistancy, but let's face facts, the bridge of that class ship was designed in the 1960's and resembles the technology and design of the time, which looks horrible by today's standards. I am sure that in 100 years we will look back at the bridge of the JJ Abrams Enterprise and say it is out of date too.

  • I think they CBS digital did an appropriate job of updating the original design for the HD Remasters of TOS. They added a bit of surface detail and the advanced lighting on the CG models really brought out the look of the hull.

  • Fool! They diden't use a model for this. The Defiant is likely C.G.

  • This Defiant I really like. I remember seeing an episode of the Star Trek Fan Film-Hidden Frontier, after the fall of the Terran Empire, The USS-Defiant had drifted back to the Federation's Universe where it would help a Voyager era ship fight off a Tholian Ambush. That shocked me because don't you think after 200 years of existing the Terran Empire's universe by the 24th century the ship would have Some Terran Markings on it? But once again long live the USS-Defiant and the Terran Empire.

  • Nice video. I loved the Terran Empire episodes.

  • when the enterprise attacks Defiant, its like

    enterprise"'ave some of tat"

    defiant"c'mon then motherfucker"

defiant "suddenly not so tough hey"

  • the website at the end does not exist

  • A combat video with T.O.S. U.S.S. Defiant as seen on Star Trek Enterprise. Pretty cool to see a T.O.S. Constitution-class starship kicking ass

    I couldn't agree more

  • couldn't agree with yourself?

  • I have a bit of a problem with the begining of this vid (and obviously the Ent episode it come from) and that is the Original config Constitution Class starships were not equipt with aft firing torpedo tubes.

  • All you fanboys need to get a life.
