I just heard of these guys just now and downloaded their discography without knowing this song was on there. I'm a fucking huge Elliott Smith fan, i have a half sleeve on my arm dedicated to him, and this is fucking awesome. Best Christmas present from a band i have never heard of ever.

I actually heard this version before Elliot Smith's and this was one of my least favorite on the album. Once I heard Elliot's original, I really liked his version, and once I heard this one again, I started to really like it. Don't know why, but it totally rocks now, all credit to Elliot.

Both versions (Smith + Bad Astronaut) are so sad. But, tribute to Elliott Smith, this version is even better. Sorry. I like Joey. he´s a good guy. Hope Lagwagon would be on tour in germany.

i hate when people compare covers of songs its quite STUPID if BA played it they way eliott would play it... then every1 would be like "omg this guys are totally copying eliott's style, douches" but now BA made their O W N version of this song which is great! when u make a song cover u gotta put ur own style into it or else it would be quite awful to hear the same style dont u think?

if u like eliott's version better thats bcoz u identify urself best with it, same thing for BA version

heard this version first, then the original (which is way better). not saying this isn't good, but just doesn't convey much emotion. and get the lyrics right man!!!!! most of these are wrong. if you don't know them, just leave the damn captions out!

It's a great cover, no doubt. I just don't think it captures the true meaning of the song the way that Elliott's original, more melancholy version does. Still very good though.
