  • Why Yamaha NO make this awesome keyboard anymore?????

  • is midi?

  • @Electroclash10 yes, MIDI in & MIDI out. I have this Yamaha too. :)

  • sounds pretty amazing

  • Great review! So many of these 'reviews' just show some ambiguous hand pressing the demo button and letting it play. This review/demo has been very useful to me. Thanks!

  • Why is it everyone keeps saying it's only worth the $20 range for what sounds like a TX81z with sliders? Seems pretty usable. Ordered one for $30 after shipping and tax from a GC today and I'm quite syked.

  • Does it have orchestra? like violins/cellos and what not? And does it have Choir?

  • i want one!!! sounds aweosme

  • mine is missing a few keys 'cuz of its uses. but it makes one HELL of a midi card! but it doesnt render drums through the midi

  • i got one of these too... it also has a built in sequencer, but didnt see the guy covering it, wanted to find out how to program it for more than 8-16 bars, but maybe thats all you get for your buck her ;)

  • I got one of these new back in the day, and I still drag it out to use it on the occasional recording. If you tweak the Cello setting, I like to imagine that it sounds almost like a Mellotron.

  • My parents bought me this......

i just cant throw it away.....

but i want a better yamaha lol.

  • I just picked one of these up for $20! Doesn't have as many bells and whistles as the newer Yamaha keyboards, but the digital synthesizer is pretty fun to play with :)

  • I have the same synthesizer :)

  • i saw one at 65 dollers should i buy it?

  • @SergioFigaroa watch the end of the video.

  • my favorite instruments on there are the jazz guitar, oboe,Electric piano, and flute

  • much thanks (:

    i have one of them

and the piano sound its litle bad

butt i love my keyboard !!

  • Nice and informative video. Thanks for uploading.

  • what model is that keyboard in the background? i had one when i was a kid and ive been dying to find out what kind it was.

  • @catcherjf It's a PSS-140.

  • My answer was correct. Who gave me that thumb down...and why?

  • thx for your demo.

  • I have one of these that I use in a cover band I put it on strings digitalsynth turned on spectrum on5,brilianceon4,envelope on,3 vibrato on 3 detune on 1 and put sustain on2 for a very accurate sound to the synth on elton johns crocodile rock

I play the synth parts in the first and second courus of this song and it sounds very good through the p.a. the psr36 is a very entry level keyboard though kind of cheap but quite tough mine was bought in 1988 and still works perfect

  • Beautiful keyboard. I like the 80's design of Yamaha and Casio. In the 90's everything just got bad as far as instrument looks go...

  • Unfortunately I only realised that the POPSYNTH, SLAPSYNTH, FUNKSYNTH and BLUESYNTH and FLUTE sounds- that I SO loved on my PSS-560- were in fact NOT identical on the PSR-36, after I had spent $200 on mine:-(

Anyone out there wanna swop mine for a PSS-560? It's in mint condition though!

  • HA HA! I Have one of these!!

Nostalgia stops me from throwing it out!
