hers a helpfill hint use testors filler to get rid of the gaps. like the fuslage halfs, the wing and the fuslage meet. just apply let it dry then sand the excess.

looks good to me.. :) Certainly not bad for a first one.. it was ages ago since I built a Spitfire odf any kind, but WHEN I get round to make one next, it'll most likely be one of the 'floatfires'.. A nice little conversion I'm looking forward to! :)
