1.) He got 95% of the black vote, most of them because he was black.

2.) No one wants an old, 72 yr old pres. like mccain

Obama was elected because McCain, who WAS a good candidate, made a horrible decision in choosing Palin for a running mate. He also was too emotional during the debates and did not show respect to his opponent. Obama won all the smart, college-educated, high income states by double-digits. Minnesota, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Colorado, Washington state, Hawaii, Vermont, etc...Obama's best states. Obama also won most of suburban America and the vast majority of Americans who live and work overseas.
