fdr was created to get the kids out of LOVE park and other center city skate spots. it started shitty, but all the local skaters put in their own time and money to build new stuff and repair all the winter/rain damage. philly is just happy to get the kids out of center city, and they let everyone be. underage drinking, herb smoking, random stoner cookouts. as long as there is no fighting its totally lawless. its beautiful...

Just skated there for my first time this past week. I've been skating for almost 19 years now and have wanted to go there for years upon years. The history of that place makes it worth the trip from anywhere. It put me in my place though. Mainly a street skater, I don't skate transitions too much so it was very intimidating for me. But one of the coolest skate trips I've ever been on. Just skating something that soome of skateboardings biggest legends have skated in amazing.

I just skated here this morning. After years of skating there this place never gets old especially with the new bowl they built and they're building a kidney looking bowl. You can't truly understand just how gnarly the skating you see in this video is until you skate FDR. It's by no means perfect but it's so great to skate it.

Cement sand and water they use a certain ratio of water and cement depending on the cement instruction's. They also use a concrete buffer before it hardens to make it nice and smooth.
