I'm guessing maybe you mean my bockbierbude.de time? Yeah, I just signed up there the other day, finally, prompted by the opportunity to race Spa. I was pleased to win my heat (I know there was another, over on a second server).
Was also pleased to have run the fastest lap of the weekend in my 935...although--and you'll love this--the second and third fastest times were both run in the Fords. :D
I had not run Sachs in months, but I DO know it will go at least 0.2s faster still. :-P
@Mulsanne917flatout no, I meant the time that you had done to the Sachsenring67, 2:16.6.. i tried with the M1, i did 2.17.0, not a perfect lap, but it's hard 2.16 ;)..
at Spa I've never tried with Drm revival, sure I'll try with the Capri ;)
:D LOL. I AM Snow, oddly enough. Small world, as they say.Anyway, yeah, the 935 will run faster in good hands. I can also say (sadly) that the M1 bests the Porsche at Le Mans (Jack NL)...by a full second or more.
On the plus side, the last time I raced him here (Jack), I beat him in his M1...but only after a real dogfight.
This track truly does bring out the best, IMO. And it requires--even demands--real perfection from the winner if there is a close competitor in the race.
@Mulsanne917flatout Three of us had a race here (on the bockbierbude server) about 3 months ago...that was probably the best race I've enjoyed in years. Just TWO seconds covered all three of us up until about lap four (of five) when J bobbled and I managed to pull out a lead of perhaps 4s (instead of just 1s). I was leading (I won)...and I know I was soaking wet, head-to-toe by the time I finished.
Still in doubt too, until I negotiated that last, fast left hand kink near the end. Whew!
This 935 driver is missing his shifts. Otherwise, your Ford couldn't catch him.
A well driven 935 is capable of 2:16.5 or better around Sachs67 (and I know because I've done it myself). The Ford really can't come close to that (the Ford is 4 seconds slower or more in MX).
I will say this: You do seem to be abusing the Porsche in the corners...but that's as it should be. Your Ford SHOULD corner faster. It has a diffuser. The 935 does not---diffU hadn't been invented yet in in 1976-78.
@Mulsanne917flatout yes you right, Porsche and M1 on this track are too fast for the Capri.. on this race my best time was 2.19.7 (on race 2.20.2, my opponent turned in 2:21, 2:22, so no good), but with M1 i did 2.17.0, with some little mistakes, i think 1.16 it's possible..
i know, the Porsche 935 does 2.16.5, i saw it ;), the driver was Snow, very good driver ;)..
@baronesbc I do have to say too, if you've you've run the Capri around in just 19.7...you were truly flying. :D That's the best time I've ever heard of in the Ford.
ahah, hi Snow!! i remeber the race, you first, Dubstar second, Jack was third ;).. i remember it because i was Jack ;))..
this track is terrible, fantastic but very hard, i love it (with Historic Gt is a nightmare), it does not allow any distractions..and with these cars is a huge challenge, especially if you have to push to the limit lap after lap, as was the day ;), not overtakes, but a furious rhytm throughout the race, very good, and very tired at the end ;)..
@baronesbc Haha...what a small world indeed. Yes, that was an epic fight, that one, although not nearly long enough *but we only had 15 minutes anyway*. I would love a rematch with you, Jack. Sooner the better (preferably in DRM's, but anywhere else would be good too).
I'm always on the lookout for you, so I'm sure we'll hook up again before too much more time passes by.
ehe, when i saw your time online, i try with M1 to do it.. my best was 2.17.0, but with some mistakes in the last sector, 1.16 it's possible, but the difficult thing is to be constant on these times..
@baronesbc well, I got motivated a few moments ago and ran a 2:16.381 and followed it with a 16.5. Pleased about that. Now I'm wondering if 15 might be reachable.
@Mulsanne917flatout well done!! but I'm not far away, yesterday I did 2:16,410 with my M1 ;)), but I could have done a bit better, I left 2-3 tenths on the track (second and third sector), but I'm not so consistent in the times, it's that the problem..

@Mulsanne917flatout yes, only 15 min, but on this track is a very challenge ;)
you can rest assured, one of these days we retry a race, with the DRM I'm a little out of practice, but will still be always a pleasure ;)..

@baronesbc As it turns out, my best was actually a 2:16.686...although I do think a 16.5 is reachable with more work.
Until just a few moments ago I hadn't driven there in at least two months, and it seems my memory fades even quicker than my brakes do.... :D
See you out there.
