  • They have no idea that Santa Barbara once beaten UNLV back in the days when they were #1 and many rank teams were actually afraid to come to Santa Barbara to play against the Gauchos because of the crazy fans that made the Thunderdome the loudest indoor arena West of the Mississippi. This was also the school that made Brian Shaw an All-American and the school where UCLAs Ben Howland and Pitts Jamie Dixon both served as assistant coaches under Jerry Pimm.
