Belleville is a neighborhood in Paris. It used to be working class, cheap rents, food etc. and pretty view from a small hill in the North-East . Now it's been gentrified like everythubg else.
Anyway, these Rosenberg guys, why do they have a jewish sounding name? Can anyone tell me, please? I don't think they are jews.
Why do you think Rosenberg sounds jewish? It sounds german and I will tell you why Jews mainly have german sounding names. Because of reform of Maria Theresia in Hungary. The reform was saying that everyone had to have a surname. And the Jews which were living in Hungary did not have surnames, so they started using usually german names like Hoffmann, Lautmann, Klein and also Rosenberg was very popular. So this is the reason why you think that Rosenbergs are Jews.
Put it this way, Rose is a regular Jewish surname in the UK , and combining it with 'berg', it isn't unknown either. But who cares what religion these guys are. They spread joy and that's what matters.

Ay-yi-yi, the Rosenbergs! Coolest Gypsy players ever.
Sat in on a rhythm guitar workshop they held at Djangofest 2008; they're as cool in person as they are on the stage!
