But Billie Joe, Mike, and Tre has individuals have said that they are punk. Punk is also a way of life. Not just a music genre. So they technically are punk because thats the way of life they have chosen.

did u know at the VMA's when he said he wants everyone to come up there on stage at the VMAs he wasnt suppose to do that. cuz in the rehearsels it shows when theres so suppose to be pyro there instead. and in the performance u can see the drummer in the background waiting to when the song will end and its just something billie joe did out of nowhere
