this song was actually composed by ben folds for singer/songwriting legend Elliott Smith, who was at the time addicted to Crack and heroin, this was made for him while he was in rehab. He eventually did become clean of drugs but he had had severe depression since 2000 after the Figure 8 tour, where he became addicted to heroin, and eventually killed himself on october 23rd after a fight with his girlfriend
