wow mine doesnt even fuckin work... someone tell me how to fix the connection so i can actually get on xbox live and play it for more than 5 second's?
Hell, on the Original Xbox, you could power on with Halo in the tray and be in the game in under 10 seconds easily.
Its because the 360 is totaly geared towards online stuff. Just goto your "recent game" page and watch it lag if you are using a torrent or w/e to clog up ur bandwidth.
I get this when I look at gamertags, try to send a message, leave gamer feedback (not every time, but frequently). Especially annoying when trying to be quick between online games. Once I tried to send a quick message and it locked on the gamertag screen for about 30-45 seconds. PATCH!!!
It due to the amount of stuff in your download history ....I setup a new tag to test this theory (on same xbox) and everything loads in an instant on the new tag........Until MS release a fix,or even acknoledge the problem,i'm afraid we a stuck with it
i thought mine was slow. It seems to be associated with your connection speed. Because when I first try to join a party or use anything online that's when the slow downs occur for me. It takes several minutes to successfully join a party, I usually have to sign back out and then back in so I can join a party.
I would take a guess that its your router and possibly not allowing the correct ports for xbox live to connect properly which can slow connecting to down.
Wow, I haven't had any issues like this, but I'd be so pissed if I were I'd probably turn on my Xbox less. And yes, I did pause it to see my gamertag on there haha

I have the same shit happen to me, could be because I'm on my 4th 360 or probably because mine system was pre-NXE.
Seriously though, MS needs to fix this crap because it annoys the hell out of me.

That is definitely not normal.
Something is wrong with your setup, box ,etc.
Don't ask me I have no idea. If mine was that bad I'd punch my Xbox.
