This fellow has never kept worms and really has no clue. Pitiful that he would mislead people this way. Worms like it dark- So no clear boxes. Compost worms do not need sand- it's abrasive. Don't add compost to a worm box, the worms make better compost than what you can buy. What a clown with all the hand gestures!
No, drainage holes in the bottom ? the poor things will drown in their own worm pee. No seriously, the worm pee is a fantastic liquid fertiliser, you need some way to drain the box and collect it. Sand must be salt free.
Does not really explain how you separate the worms from the compost. That's the tricky part, especially if you do not know what their eggs look like.
If you are serious about making your own wormery, you would be better off with "DIY Wormery Manual" ebook, just google it.
use a non clear container and use torn up cardboard box not newspaper
