I built it before getting the JayDee Series I. The design was influenced in part by the JayDee and also Stanley Clarke's Alembic Series I "Brown Bass".
Hey dude, do you think its possible to make a bass out of a electric guitar? I mean by putting 4 bass strings on it?. I want a bass but i dont want to waste cash on one as i just bought a electric guitar. Hope u answer. Nice playing by the way!
First, the scale length of a guitar is a lot shorter than a bass. Second, the nut and the bridge of the guitar would have to be replaced to accomodate four strings. Third, you would have trouble with the tuning heads and the thickness of the strings. The strings probably wouldn't fit on the neck correctly. The neck probably wouldn't take the strain of bass strings, etc.
Sorry! I just think you should know all the drawbacks!
ok.. I think i keep the guitar how it is. by the way, when i make full bass sound on the amp the first 3 strings sound much like a bass haha. thanks! ( sorry for my bad english im from finland )

Hi There!
