  • well done mate

  • I can see the Jaydee influence in that bass yo built, did you make it before or after purchasing your Jaydee Series 1/2?

  • I built it before getting the JayDee Series I. The design was influenced in part by the JayDee and also Stanley Clarke's Alembic Series I "Brown Bass".

  • Hey dude, do you think its possible to make a bass out of a electric guitar? I mean by putting 4 bass strings on it?. I want a bass but i dont want to waste cash on one as i just bought a electric guitar. Hope u answer. Nice playing by the way!

  • Hi There!

You would have a lot of trouble with this, man!

First, the scale length of a guitar is a lot shorter than a bass. Second, the nut and the bridge of the guitar would have to be replaced to accomodate four strings. Third, you would have trouble with the tuning heads and the thickness of the strings. The strings probably wouldn't fit on the neck correctly. The neck probably wouldn't take the strain of bass strings, etc.

Sorry! I just think you should know all the drawbacks!

    Peace!

  • ok.. I think i keep the guitar how it is. by the way, when i make full bass sound on the amp the first 3 strings sound much like a bass haha. thanks! ( sorry for my bad english im from finland )

  • Your English is WAY better than my Finnish, my friend! :)

    Take care!

  • And to ad on that, its gonna cost you a lot of money

so just save some cash for a cheap bass

  • This discussion reminds me of the bassitar and the guitbass

  • @gdenyer he could always get a baritone guitar neck and tune it like the bass VI

  • Why don't you sell the guitar and buy an Ibanez, Schecter, Warwick rockbass, so on?

  • @theblackbull55 Well if your going to actually play the bass it wont be a waste.

  • i see king bass in there

  • Cool.

  • sounds really nice mate,
