Believe it or not, Morey Amsterdam and Richard Deacon were very good friends, and often hung out together after the episodes were filmed. They also created some funny lines and bits for "Buddy" and "Mel" to zing each other outside of the scripts; they probably thought up the exit at 1:01. Danny Thomas was, of course, one of the production partners of the series, and made his only appearance here.

VERY well done on SO many levels! "WHAT is a DANNY THOMAS!?!?!" LOL He was great in the role. Also.... I love the nice nod to "Night of the Living Dead" right at the end of Rob's dream! :-)

This is my fave episode!! I saw it once when it first aired and hadn't seen it again until sometime in the late `80's!! But I STILL remembered it from when I first saw it at about 6 years old!! In fact, the only reason I even watched the re-runs of it the `80's was to see this particular episode!! I was never a fan of the show, but, as an adult, I liked it because of Morey Amsterdam and Rose Marie.
