  • wow amazing this magic is like crazy. it made me get it on the first possible combination!

  • Awesome! I got my combination in less than 5 minutes. Thanks for sharing

  • wat if my remainer is 75

  • It deoesn't say what to do if your remainder is two

  • for phase3 what if your remainder was 2 -_-

  • "In my Situation....."

  • LOL>.. Just buy a new lock!

  • Thumbs up if u saw this video to open somebody's lock

  • YOU PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS. HE DIVIDES IT BY FOUR BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO. HE DOESN'T "GET" FOUR FROM ANYWHERE.

  • @Guardofearth And your supposed to do that because there are 40 possible numbers (0 - 39). I'm sure if it went from 0-29, you'd have to divide by 3.

  • This worked beautifully. I couldn't believe it.

  • i dont get it, what if my remainder was 2!? do i add 2 or subtract 2!!!

  • @SinsOfCerberus subtract

  • Freaking awesome video. Finally got my old lock combo again. Funny as I was working it the numbers came back to me except the first one!

  • Holy crap it works perfectly!!!! I got it on the seventh combo that I tried. Thank you so much!! I would never have figured this out on my own!

  • didnt work

  • Awesome, it worked! (Once I found the proper starting digits. Alignment was a little "off" but once I found the right starting combo, on the third time, it worked like a charm). THANK YOU!!!!!

  • Holy shit this actually worked. I had a remainder of 0, like him, and my first two numbers ended up being ones that were listed. I kinda remembered what my combination was like, so that helped shorten the time of opening it.

  • worked!

  • Thanks for this! You saved me from having to waste money on a new lock.

  • To ease up the step where you add 4 till you reach the last number possible you can just check which is the highest number that divides by four and add the difference on top.

  • I only got 4 whole numbers and they all end with 9

    2.5-5.5-9-12.5-15.5-19-22.5-25.5-29-32.5-35.5-39

I already know the combo ( 15, 5, 19 ) Im just testing the method

  • @Chessmaster777 You probably did some that should've been .5 and a whole number, and some whole numbers that should've been .5. I did that for a few of them, but I double checked and found out where I messed up. This method worked for me perfectly. It might not worked on all locks though, probably just the generic masterlock, like the person in this video has. That's the same one I have.

  • MINDBLOWING :O

  • Didn't work

  • You lost me when you said to divide by 4

  • Didn't work at all.

  • Thanks so much. Worked like a charm

  • wat if dere were 22 diff #s in da 5 #s ex. 11,21,31,36,48!?

  • Worked perfect for me!! Got in the the third try picking out numbers that looked familiar to me when I used the lock! Thank you so much!

  • what if i have remainder 2?

  • i keep repeating the steps till its time to divide the standout number by 4 but i keep getting the same numbers and the same decimal what did i do wrong? or can we get a decimal?

  • I initially came up with 4,14,17,34,37, so I didn't have the "4 numbers end the same, with one oddball number." I had 3 that ended in 4, and 2 that ended in 7. Still worked though. Got the combo in about 10 tries. Thanks! (Note: I had to go back and carefully check my numbers so I ended up with the 7 that ended in .5)

  • I just pulled my tree stand from a tree. It was up for 9 years and I lost the combo for my master lock that locked it to the tree. This worked perfect. Hit it on the 90th combination. 37-3-37

    Thanks

  • what happens if you have a remainder of 2? how can i get the 2nd set of numbers?? my combo was 1.25 should I just round it up to 3 and do what you did?

  • I made a program that does this for you

  • Is there a set of rules for Dudley locks?

  • Where the heck did you get the 4 from at 3:20???

  • WOW!!! This really works. Listen carefully before trying. I reversed the nubmer combinations for the first and second numbers, so had to try 200 times in total. Once I figured out my mistake, my combination was 89 in from the start (murphys law). Still pleased.

  • What do u do if you have a 2 remanider what do i at

  • i failed 200 times

  • Yeah I wanna know if this works for an ABUS lock. My lock is stuck to my bag right now coz I forgot the combination LOl.

  • Can anyone do my lock number I'm not good with numbers. They are : 3,6.5,9.5,13,16.5,19.5,23,26.5,30,33,36.5,39.5

  • What if your remainder was 2 ?

    What does it equal.

  • @juantarts I have the same question! Do I just start with 2?

  • Where did u get 4 from?

  • 5:00 u didn't mean 3 and 4 u meant 2 and 3 (2 gets 0, 3 gets 1)

  • my remainder was 5 lol

  • @ItachiPepaj You are dividing by 4........Learn some math lol

  • works!

  • this worked so well! my brother and i cracked my lock in under 5 minutes! thank you so so much!!

  • does this work on a sphero lock because i tryed it on mine i forgot it :( it didnt work i tryed it it stinks :(

  • Ive done this multiple times and haven't got it and most of the times i get 2,9,12,19,22,29,32,39 as my whole numbers what am i doing wrong?

  • THANK YOU!!! WORKED GREAT!!!

  • HINT: usually, the 2nd number is close to the 3rd number. (80% chance) thunbs up so everybody knows.

  • My #s are 2, 8, 19, 29, 39. As you can see my 3rd number ended in 9, and had 2 numbers sticking out. What do I do?

  • Thank you so much(: this worked!

  • I have the same exact #'s as you but i cant get it!

  • for some reason my 3rd number was

31,21,11,1, and 4 or 5. the reason i said this is that the last stopping point went from 3.5 to 5.5... please someone tell me what's going on!!!

  • The vid is a bit off. If your number is:Then

    0:2

    1:3

    2:0

    3:1

  • my little brother got this blue master lock but it didn't come with instructions because it came from a friend and he was like i don't care if there is no code. so now i'm gonna get the code

  • AWESOME! although my first number was 33 and it took me forever. worked!

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome!! I had a bunch of locks without combinations and i broke the first one!YAY!

  • my 3 number is 2 what should i do ?

  • if im not gonna use this on someone elses lock then why did i get susspended for 30 days

  • 5:03 the reminder can't be 4, can you explain again this part?

  • Thank you, young Christopher Walken.

  • op there it did

  • i got 2.5, 6, 9.5, 12.5, 16, 19, 22.5, 25.5, 29, 32.5, 36, 39.5 what should i do?

and its not leting me post.

  • @zob314 did you even watch the video.......?

  • @MrAdamWM yes i did but i found the combo using a diffrent method.

  • @zob314 Okay - now eliminate all numbers that contain a decimal value. This leaves: 6,16,19,29, 39. They say all but one should have the same last value. So, I haven't helped you at all. Sorry. Hey, I had six numbers left and 3 had a 1 on the end and 3 had a 4. Mine didn't work either.

  • thx for helping me steal some nerds P.E. clothes

  • i got lost at divide 20 by 4 ....... where the chuffin hell did four come from?

  • @2007db2007 4 just works, so deal with it ;)

  • This is the same person as Crunk1337. I was able to crack the lock! Awesome helpful tip. Just so you know, the bastard number is always the thrid number, even if it ends up being a x.5 number. In my case, the number was 33.

  • In my case I have the exact opposite to find the third number. My numbers are: 3,13,23, 33.5

    6.5, 16.5, 26.5, 36.5

    9.5, 19.5, 29.5, 39.5

What do I do about the 33.5? I have run these numbers time and again, and it always comes up the same.

  • Thumbs up if you think FisherJ87 sounds a lot like Ray Romano. BTW, good vid!

  • @HighwaySage

yeah , but this guy is giving us useful information. RR is normally being yelled at for using too much gravy at the dinner table.

  • My third # also didn't work

  • I have a 8000xxx, but this method was way off. I had to take it apart to find the combo. My last # is 33, but trying this method, I got 16 (3,13,16,23,33) as the 3rd! I guess this doesn't always work! My 1st and 2nd #'s were odd. So for those who couldn't get it to work, you have to take the back plate and line up the mechanisms. Maybe I have a newer model padlock...I wasted an hour trying this!

  • I lost him at phase 2, where he says to divide into "whatever number your last digit ends up on." Help!? I don't understand what he means.

  • WORKED LIKE A CHARM!

  • Didnt work for me. Tried all the combo's 3x's

  • Worked like a charm!! Thank you!!!!

  • This worked!!! Thank you!

  • Thank you! This really worked! Now I don't have to buy a new lock!

  • This is awesome. I was able to use this technique to determine the combination of a master lock I'd had sitting around the house for years and years.

And if the remainder is two, you subtract two. The numbers for that would be

    0 4 8 12 16 20 24 28

  • The sphero lock is constructed in such a way that the inner locking mechanism does not "register" the bumps or teeth of the inner wheels. Even if you pull the U part, or shackle, the numbers are faintly registered and often jump two or three numbers at at time. Sphero also tends to "eat" aluminum shims, as the inner part that locks the shackle into place is constructed in such a way that, when the shim is turned it tears.

  • it actually didnt work o-o

  • this works for American locks too!!!!

  • @alphakid42 this is correct, and worked on the second combo...2-4-26!!! Big Rush!

  • @alphakid42 thats right my friend...I just cracked a lock that was in lost and found...it was the second combo on the list...what a thrill when it opened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! took awhile tho...

  • my remainder is a 5??

  • @Winna8123 It cannot be 5 because you devide by 4... so your remainder is 1.

  • @Winna8123 Then you are bad at math.

  • "it will only take 100 tries". damn my parents lock their closest with weed with two of these locks so in hopefully two days or less i can get my shit back.

  • i cant beleive this shit worked on the first combo i tried to... awesome

  • did anyone else notice the 420

  • WHO THINKS IS FASTER TO GET A HAMMER!!! WHAT WOULD BE THE POSSIBILITY OF YOU OPENING IT IN THE LIKE 3 TRYS!!!!

  • how the hell do you get the digit you divide it by?!

  • hi i could you please tell me to do to know the key to a Master Lock padlock is not English I'm doing this through a trductor please await your response on my channel if you can

  • hola me podrian decir q hay q hacer en español porfavor

    att:nb

  • i already knew mine i was just testing it and it was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy offfffffffffffff

  • Thank you sooooo much. Thank god it was only the 3rd attempt.

  • I've been doing this for over an hour now..my hand hurts and I haven't gotten any of the numbers... This..sucks!! -.-

  • bahaha i didnt have to do the math and crap mine was the same as him but then my first try i got it open cuz im like well 1st isnt a 0 so 4 2 20 and got it

  • sometimes doesnt work dude. Tested this to 3 of my locks, one of them's numbers were 1.5 4.5 8 11.5 14.5 18 21.5 24.5 28 31.5 34.5 38 No extra numbers, i triple checked. Combo is 14, 21, 37.....wtf. It is my newest master lock if that makes any difference, but it looks just like the one you have in this vid.....
  • what do i do if i cant tell if the number is on a whole # or not?

  • Thank you! It worked ! Now I can robb banks, :) JK.

  • Hilarious, this worked great. Thanks for posting. My useless lock is now useful again.

  • Hah, the lock I'm using has the same list of numbers at the beginning. Lovely.

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • After having trouble getting the lock oriented right, and not getting numbers, I eventually got the exact same numbers as you. So I thought it was a hoax. I proceeded to annoyingly do all of the combinations, though, after I understood what I needed to do. And after fifteen minutes... OH MY GOD IT ACTUALLY WORKED. I have my combination. Thanks so much, and I never believed this would actually work.

  • also does this work on the sphero lock?

  • do u always divide by 4

  • can sobody help me my numbers that are no .5 ar 3 10 20 27 30 wtf am i doin g wrong

  • @alopez527 no your remainder is 1. 6*4 is the most you can get out of 25 which is 24. 25-24=1

  • doesnt work for me i only get 4 whole numbers

  • i got 25 so my remainder is 2.5 do i use 2 or a 3 remainder?

  • I had 2 whole #'s that didn't fit so I had 2 possible 3rd #'s. This actually works because I just tried it and it opened.

  • I had a lock that i couldn't remember the combo to. So, I said "Hey, what the hell. I've got an hour to kill..." I didn't believe this would work at all! Until...

Oddly enough, I had the exact same string of numbers as in the video. Last number should be 20. That didn't ring a bell, so I kept going. Divide by 4, generate strings of numbers and start trying. Combination number 73 and the lock popped! Made me a believer!

(Serial number in the 9## ### range)

  • i hate these f***ing cameras that sound like aliens

  • can someone explain how i did this, my parents told me i opened a lock less than a second when i was a toddler, if a toddler opens a lock with no problem means to you have to be a super smart to figure out the combination, its bugging the hell out of me, cause i cant find my inner knowledge, btw dont believe me, i get into everything..i open a door to run outside, open the fridge, climb like im tomb raider, am i supposed to feel special....true story, some stuff like get into stuff are on video

  • @MrAnnoyingFreak

Yes, some of us are Natural Born Troublemakers, and take everything apart out of curiosity.

An alarm clock was my first. Of course nobody could make it work again.

Then I graduated to bicycles, mowers, and later to cars after serious formal training.

I had to take the bus to school, because my own car was always in bits and pieces and nobody would lend me theirs.

  • @MrAnnoyingFreak Opening the lock could of been by pure luck xD ...I remember when I was young and my mom was helping my brother with his homework. He didn't know the answer and I just yelled some random number and I was right. He was like grade 5 or 4 and I was grade 1...I remember that night if like it was yesterday...Sadly I don't remember what number I yelled though rofl.

  • btw, if you divide by 4, you cannot have a reminder of 4.... only 0,1,2,3

  • i got 12 numbers but only 1, 4, 14, 31, and 34, were whole number i did this several time and the same numbers popped up so what do i have to do in this situation.....

wait i know buy a new lock

  • thanks bud!

  • nvm, he meant 2,3 not 3,4

  • for part 3, what if you have a remainder of 2??

  • This can't work on mine. I was able to get 39,29,19,9 and can't find the 5th number. Each one is averaged between .5

I was also able to come up with 12 numbers. GAHHHHHH

  • @kingocto i have that same problem.

  • I still like the tin can shim trick if I needed to get in faster

  • got it on my 50th try, took me about 15 mintues nice

  • THANK YOU! I just did it with 5 old licks I had in a drawer about to be thrown out. It worked with every single one! Now I have writen the combinations down each on a separate piece of paper and tape it to the corresponding lock for future use.

  • what do you do if your remainder is 2

  • @cmlewis2 i guess you are cewl. keep your numbers

  • @cmlewis2

    2=0

  • @cmlewis2 2=0

  • @cmlewis2 leave it as 2

  • i tried this and it totally works. try it for yourself

  • (con't) have mentioned in reference to locks with certain serial #'s (800xxx I think) but you can't obtain the other two numbers using this method, especially the 20. But 11 is in the series of 3,7,11,15... that is used to figure out the 2nd number & some people have said that with the 800xxx locks, the 1st and 2nd #'s are switched. So maybe Master Lock has changed the way they create their combinations for certain new locks?

  • I wanted to try this with 2 old locks that I have but couldn't find them so I bought a new one just to try it. It has no serial # on the back. Result = FAIL. I got 12 #s, 7 of which ended in .5. I used the "odd #" from the remaining 5 & went through the remaining steps. Didn't work. I looked at the actual combo and it is 11 20 05. Yes, it has both odd and even #'s and yes, it IS a Master Lock. The last # (5) WAS the # in the list of 5 that had the most "give" as some people (con't)

  • what about if the number that i have to divide by4 is "3"???

  • what about if the number that i have to divide by4 is "3"???

  • I opened 20 locks my way while watching number man lol

  • At 5:05 did you mean a remainder of '2,3' because you cant get the 4?

  • Fail!!! You can't get a remainder of 4 when dividing by 4.

  • James Bon?!?!?!??!

  • and by Corpsegrindr i mean tingalls21...

  • All I wanna know is, WHO THE HELL FOUND THIS OUT!?!?!?

  • Thiz vid helped mi find da combonation 2 da locks mi and mi bro found at skewl

  • If your lock has a serial code that is above 800*** (I think that is it) then the

-first number that stands out is the first combo number (C1)

-(C1) / 4, take remainder and add 4 to it, all those numbers are possible third combo numbers (C3)

-(C1) / 4, take remainder and add/subtract 2 from it appropriately, then add 4, all those numbers are possible second numbers (C2)

I tried it with my lock, serial number 903336, and the first number i got was 18, and on my combo that is the first number

  • what if my remainder is 2?

  • i dont think this works for my lock.

i use to use these in middle school but my high school lock is way bigger, and it makes no clicks when i lift up the handle

this is what i get for not writing it down and forgetting it over the summer :(

  • i have the master combination to all cheap locks...bolt cutters

  • um not to ruin his parade and everyone who got a good number to go with this but 18/4 = 4.5 not 4.2 ur supose to keep breaking it down not stop

  • Worked for me! Didn't take long at all and didn't have to use all 100 combination's

  • @Corpsegrindr 3/4 is 0 with a remainder of 3

  • What do you do when the third # is 3 or less?

My locks 3rd# is 1. What do you do with .25?

  • @tingalls21 ur awnser is 3 its fucked up math lol i got 2 so i know how its confusing lol

  • Thanks a lot man. I vaguely remembered the 1st number of my lock so this only took me about a minute.
