On the PS2 game Need Fpr Speed Hot Pursuit 2 I can out run cops in a Mclaren F1 while dodging traffic, bombs, and keeping ahead of my opponents. I love the first one, it had a great soundtrack...and when he called it the Garage Band version of what he wanted to do ultimately I think that`s much of what I felt playing it. Wasn`t as grand of a scale compared to the second one but it was a fantastic game I can play over and over

Yes, but this guy, David Jaffe never produce or was part of making 3 and 4. The gameplay for 3 and 4 suck horribly. But talking now, 2010.. He has already made 1,2 for the Playstation. Black, Head-On for Playstation 2. And the New Twisted Metal for PS3 coming out 2011. The 3 and 4 was created by other people.
As much of a "clunker" as this Twisted Metal 2 was, man I must have spent over 1000 hours playing this game against a friend of mine back in those days. You see people, it doesn't matter how pretty your games look if it doesn't have the elements a game should have: gameplay, fun factor, playability, replay value, and this game had all of them! Agreed, when next-gen consoles came out with more capbility I hardly heard anyone talk about loads of more things to do or loads of new cars and customisation, it was more about doing the same stuff but prettier. I'd like to see a modern TM but it'd be like the old one yet with loads of more stuff, not just TM2 but prettier as thats not worth $60.
They need to make a really advanced Twisted Metal 2 World Tour with the darkness of Twisted Metal Black. It has to have all the creation features level creator, player creator. Online feature obviously. None of the new characters from 3&4 because they are shit. That would be ultimate.

This game is so classic. I still play it every once in a while when I have the right friends around and it's just as fun as it ever was.
I bought this game before I could actually afford a PS1 as a way of committing myself to buying one and played for 15 1/2 hours straight the first night I had it.

As much of a "clunker" as this Twisted Metal 2 was, man I must have spent over 1000 hours playing this game against a friend of mine back in those days. You see people, it doesn't matter how pretty your games look if it doesn't have the elements a game should have: gameplay, fun factor, playability, replay value, and this game had all of them! I wish they could take the code from this game to make a new one.. ok ok, with updated graphics. Lol

Agreed, when next-gen consoles came out with more capbility I hardly heard anyone talk about loads of more things to do or loads of new cars and customisation, it was more about doing the same stuff but prettier. I'd like to see a modern TM but it'd be like the old one yet with loads of more stuff, not just TM2 but prettier as thats not worth $60.

They need to make a really advanced Twisted Metal 2 World Tour with the darkness of Twisted Metal Black. It has to have all the creation features level creator, player creator. Online feature obviously. None of the new characters from 3&4 because they are shit. That would be ultimate.

Games which used to be exclusive on playstation, such as mgs, dmc, ff, gta and other titles. This game is so classic. I still play it every once in a while when I have the right friends around and it's just as fun as it ever was.
I bought this game before I could actually afford a PS1 as a way of committing myself to buying one and played for 15 1/2 hours straight the first night I had it.
