Thanks man. I couldn't get my ipod to sync anything and if it did it were 3 songs out of 10. Now it just filters out some corrupted songs. Great. Keep up the good work!

Whenever i plug my ipod classic 6th gen in, my itunes freezes and my ipod doesn't connect at all, it says connected on the ipod screen but doesn't show up on itunes. Is there any way i can restore it manually?!

iTunes takes forever to recognise it, and then when it does, it says it's corrupted and needs to be restored. I do so, but then the process starts all over again. When I open My Computer and try to get into the iPod that way, it says the disk needs to be reformatted.

Please, anyone help?

@SunflashFieldmouse: If you don't care about your music/video being erased you can Try this: 1. connect the ipod to the computer. 2. if iTunes starts uncheck the 'startup iTunes when this ipod is connected' box, and exit iTunes. 3. format the hard drive via the windows explorer. 4. Open up iTunes and do the restore seen in the video.

Did you eventually get your ipod working again? i've got the same problem, but i can't get it fixed...

it sometimes doesn't show up in itunes and when it does, it won't restore properly and the reboot loop starts all over again. Has anyone had this problem and got it solved??

I did this but now I want to get all the music I had on it back on there, but not my whole library. Basically I want to locate the back up's that itunes makes each time you plug it in and then set itunes off automatically putting on my old music. Does anybody know how to do this?

its stuck on the stupid apple logo - i got it connected once out of fluke, i clicked restore, got some stupid messages, clicked yes, yes, agree, yes, yes, agree etc etc and then "are you sure you want to format i drive?" fine - whatever, format it then - oh, windows cant format it. oh dear, itunes has lost it again, oh, now its stuck in the same apple logo again.

see my problem is that when it does reboot it goes to this page that says to reconnect it to iTunes and restore it again. it never gets to the page where it shows the music and such. What should i do??By the way it is a 30gb ipod classic 5th generation
