What a douche. I already hate him for using school shootings as an excuse to drone on about his poorly researched arguments, but what really ticks me off is how self-centered his is as well. He has called this guy a jackass for disagreeing with him, and on other news shows he interrupts people constantly and hogs up all the time so he can spew more of his hate filled bullshit. He said he's not embarrassed by IGDA's criticism, but you can see him getting upset over what Jason Della Rocca said.

The fact that this man is still alive is testament to the fact that video games do not train people to murder one another. As someone that can enjoy sitting down and playing online games such as CoD and Counter Strike with my friends, seeing an ignorant man such as this fills me with rage, yet I do not take up arms against him. A video game is a simulation, the whole reason why there are game ratings are for that exact reason that a 7 year old does not pick up a violent game and think its all cool to have guns and stuff, but for a mature person that can in fact figure out right from wrong without having help.

It's the parents who should look in the mirror and ask themselves "Why am I buying / letting my premature child buy games that are not suitable for him?" This was the case that ruined Jack Thompson. One source, The Washington Post said that Cho's high school friends said he played Counter Strike, and then removed the exerpt deeming it insignificant in light of other evidence. Cho was not a gamer, Jack "sounded the alarm" so strong on this case that even after it had basically proven Cho never played games Jack was too far into his crap blowing to change his position and admit maybe a crazy psychopath could exist without the aid of video games.

If he seriously thinks that he is helping people, then he is REALLY deluded. If you ask me, he's lying; he's just looking for attention, and whenever he sues a video game company, it's just to get money, because he's confident in winning. Or at least that's my theory. I won't pretend that my theory is fact, unlike Jack Thompson, who discusses his own theories as if they were facts, ALL THE TIME. He's seriously deluded if he really thinks that the military uses video games to train soldiers. LASER TAG is closer to a training simulator than a video game. Some people say video games serve to vent aggression, but as a gamer I can tell you that is bull. If anything games make you more aggressive when you are playing them. Just because this guy played counter-strike, does not mean the game is to blame. This logic is complete bullshit. What about movies? What type of movies did he watch? Was he abused as a child? How did he get the gun? Was he a social outcast? Does he suffer from any mental conditions? What happened in his life leading up to the shooting? Any kind of crisis? There are way too many factors and other things to consider than to simply blame violent video games. CORRELATION DOES NOT EQUAL CAUSATION.
