  • Fantastic!

  • I fucking hate it when covers change the lyrics to reflect the singer's gender.

  • @savinobratton not really, it gives it context and then becomes a piece of art relevant to the covering artist, who is then offering up their interpretation of the original creation, which is something all artists love. I'm sure Fugazi would love this video, particularly because she's an independent artist who offered up a non-profit attempt at giving tribute. No Billy Talent covering in attempt to look punk to the MTV generation, just an artist who just straight up fucking loves Fugazi. Awesome

  • @savinobratton same here but this isn't bad

  • Not all punk rockers are mean. I love this version.

  • @GandolfTheGreen420 Thank you! :)

  • Bravo! See? Even the punk rockers liked it :D

  • Haha... I like this version better than any of the others I've heard actually... even Fugazi's. Awesome.

    Just facebook shared it.

  • Excelente trabalho.

  • It's Awesome!

  • It's Awesome!

  • Great job! You should try some old Misfits too from Walk Among Us...translates pretty good to acoustic.

  • That was really, really good.

  • BTW.............Great job!

  • You know what's sad?!? This is the only way fans of maroon 5 and train will ever come close to appreciating the cool-fucking-loud-raw-sonic-dynamic-explosive-expressive-badassery that is FUGAZI.

  • just to be a smart ass:

the bandname comes from "Fucked Up, Got Ambushed, Zipped In"

    great cover, by the way!

  • By the way, the name Fugazi comes from an acronym used by American Soldiers in Vietnam to describe the status of friends killed and zipped into body bags "FUcked up, Got Zipped In"

  • wow very nice cover. that's what a cover is supposed to be, not a copy of the song but a re-working and a different/ unique version.

  • that totally rocked! toss up which is better, this, or when girl talk mashed up rhianna to an amped up bassline of waiting room last year on all day...

  • Can you upload an MP3 of this? Love this cover.

  • Amazing!!! One of the greatest covers, and most unique rensitions of a song I've ever heard. That is talent!

  • Oh oh, you just sold out Fugazi, you better hope Chuck Norris doesn't find out.

  • THANX ! 4 this GREAT version of Fugazi`s greatest song.

  • That was great! 100x better than the Rancid cover.

  • Wowza. Great balance- new flavor on a great tune. Tre cool.

  • really great cover. good job!

  • lol @ description xD

no worries, i'll leave you alive =)

  • great!!!! betta than RHCP

  • Girl you are soooooooooo cool!!!!! big big big cover Guy Picciotto could be glad!!!!! Loves you....kisses from Italy

  • first i was like ...no way...not another crappy cover, but i really like your version. really good...mahalo Marc

  • Wow! Very good. Your voice is haunting and soulful and addicting. Kinda like Tori Amos.

    I love it!

  • All I know was at the end of it I was smiling effortlessly... Thank you.

  • @westerberg14 Aww, how wonderful, thanks! :)

  • wow best cover thank you very much :-)

  • Didn't expect that but impressive.

  • Great Version! I love it!.... I use to have a punk band in Tijuana Mex, and we use to play and everything was great!... but most of the times the public was watting forus to surprice them with a fugazi cover, and when we did ( Watting Room included) the place explode whit pure energy!... I just heard your version and it holds to that explosion of feelings and stuff... thank you so much!

  • @niel80 Thanks for your great comment! :)

  • Very nice. I don't even know what made me stumble on this. But I really liked this song and this approach to it. Greatness.

  • Very nice.

  • One of my favorite songs, I was prepared to hate it, but I really liked it. Nice work!

  • Great cover

  • why would any punk rocker hurt you? you did a good job

  • Hrm...

  • that was turbo awesome! nice job

  • Double genius

  • very nice

  • well done.

  • We... I mean I with the bottle of Smirnoff Mohito in my other hand "salute you"

I don't know what Ian thinks but that was kick ass

  • Very nice version!

Fugazi rules. And your interpretation takes the song to another dimension.

    Thanks

  • Best cover yet.

  • Great sound.

    Very solid. 8)

  • Wow, this is super awesome!

  • Great Job!!!!!!!!!

  • Very good cover. Original

  • great version

    i love it

  • Fugazzi ?

  • Different in a good way. I likey!

  • Right on! I'm a sucker for a good punk cover.

  • Great......I used to go to Fugazi, they brought honesty and energy to every performance, I would go see you too....great way to hold onto what is great about something and reimagine. Cheers.

  • @mwstech Thanks! Great comment :)

  • very nice! i like this version!

  • Nice! I love it when you take a song out of it's genre. punk--->acuoustic acoustic---->R&B.....etc. Nice work.

  • Beautiful!

  • haha very cool cover, well done

  • this is surprisingly awesome!

  • I grew up in DC - went to countless Fugazi shows, and played in bands that offered poor immitations of Fugazi, and heard even more. Thanks for being brave enough to play and post it. I like your cover... I wonder what And The Same would sound like if you played it. I hope I get to hear

  • @mattlark74 I love you for that. Fugazi is my favorite band though, I discovered them long after they began their hiatus which is unfortunate. Anyway, I agree!

  • @ThatGabbyMarang If I had to describe Ian only two words come to mind: "kind" and "Passionate"...back in the early 90s Fugazi used to only play shows if the ticket price was $5 or under, and there was no age restrictions. They carried envelopes with ticket refund amounts in them to have doormen hand out to the many people Ian would ask to leave shows for acting inappropriately. He would often say "I'm sorry, sir - I'm going to have to ask you to leave" to rowdy fans. What a man,

  • Good job

  • awesome job!

  • That was excellent, put a big smile on my face. I hope you're planning to cover more hardcore/post-hardcore punk.

I would love to hear your version of a X song......

  • Awesome....you probably could sing anything and make it sound great. If you did Jay-'s "99 Problems," it would sound yearning and wistful ;)

  • no te odiamos, prefiero el original, pero es una gran versión, muy original

  • Great interpretation, just what a cover should be! Who needs to hear a bunch of guys attempting and failing to recreate the Fugazi sound? Very original, I must say.

  • @tomcatfoxy Thank you, that means a lot! :)

  • great cover

    really interesting :)

  • Thanks! :)

  • wunnerful!

  • I watched this just because I enjoy seeing things that suck. It ended up not sucking. Now I have to go search for fat ladies falling off of rope swings. Well done.

  • lol...well sorry for the disappointment :) Glad you liked it ;)

  • this song always make sense for me, good vocal. thanks for covering this.

  • awesome

  • Punk Rocker here:

At first I was like *barf*

but the more I listened I was like, hey nice!

    Good job sister! Beautiful.

  • haha..awesome! Thank you, glad you kept on listening! :)

  • you did a awesome job with this. you have a nice big voice even tho it's not really loud if that makes sense, kinda like Natalie Merchant...

  • Thank you, that does make sense :)

  • loved it!

  • Thank you very much! :)

  • WOW! great job I thought it was going to be trash but it is great.

  • I didnt know a fugazi song could be so beautiful. I love your spin on this song, its so unique. Sounds amazing.

  • i don't usually comment, but in this case, i just have to have to give you kudos

  • Very nice cover...Cheers!

  • hahah xD i knew you was gunna say girl

  • i like a lot of things from punk to metal to jazz and ska, but this is very good, brilliant infact :)

  • @RubySohoLove Thank you very much! :)

  • Haha, your description makes me laugh. I'm a big Fugazi fan, haha I wouldn't hurt a fly. That's just the stereotype isn't it? Punk fans just going around punching people in the face, am I correct. I thought you cover was great, and yes you pronounced Fugazi correctly, haha.

  • @NevasterDarkness Thank you, great comment! :)

  • This...this...huh.

Much to my surprise, this does not suck. I mean that as a high compliment. I love Fugazi, but I'd much rather hear this than 100 supposed punk bands fumble through a cover of it.

  • @bogart345 Thank you! That's a great comment and compliment! :)

  • : )

  • not bad but you can't match the opening bassline!

  • LOVE THIS!!!!

  • idk sorry amazing voice but i still ove the raw sound of punk

  • Fantastic cover. :)

  • this is sexy

  • Why'd you have to go and do that?

  • What an amazing cover, hihi, so cute

  • Beauty, brains and talent. Well done. You've made this geek's evening, thank you.

  • Excellent!

  • this is cool. I like fugazi

  • OMG

    do a smiths cover

    charming man!

    thats my favourite

    hahaa

  • Amazing version! What made you pick fugazi?

  • Thanks! I read in an interview with Jack Johnson that it was one of the bands he used to listen a lot to. So I thought I'd check them out, and I guess this was the first song I stumbled upon.

  • awsome!!!!!!!!

  • This is great! Now I just gotta figure out her chords...doesn't look to difficult.

  • she's got good teeth

    and fine fingers

  • This is WONDERFUL!

  • I thought i would hate it......but i didn't. Nice work!

  • Awesome.

  • Nice work. I'd bring it a little closer to the original, but that just me. Look for a 'video response' (although with weaker vocals) in the next 3 years.

  • Hahahaha!!!!! I thought I was going to be cringing, boy was I wrong! You made that song all your own. Awesome!

  • lol @ your description

i love this song! best cover yet

  • I'm impressed ... fantastic:)

  • Thats awesome!

  • you did a fugazi cover. yay! :)

  • very cool, you really brought out the beautiful melody that's kind of hidden in the original

  • aww did you have to stop right there? that was great :)

  • I never heard this song before... to my ears, your original compositions are just as good or better. I like that percussive guitar sound though... rock on...

  • 5*s
