I love that you have a twin mattress for his bed! We have two merle mantle male Great danes and they have their own bed too! Nice to know we aren't the only ones! Good video! Too funny.
I like this dog! Thank goodness he doesn't go on indefinitely. It looks to me like your great dane loves the feel of the springy mattresses, who can blame him? Children do the same thing for fun, I loved to jump on the couch.
It never occurred to me that a Great Dane would need a single mattress as a bed. I just thought that somewhere a pet store would have Jumbo beds for dogs...
I have a Boston terrier that does this, and it doesn't matter if we just got back from a 5 mile walk. He just has to have his last minute of fun before settling down.
@Jakathera Not necessarily. Sometimes repetitive behaviours are just habits - like the bedtime cup of cocoa. I imagine that whether he's tired or not, he would still find the energy for doing his bedtime routine. If he were tired, he probably wouldn't settle at all - be up during the night?
our Ridgeback would do that when he was young too. There's a name for that
F.R.A.P. meaning Frequent Rapid Active Playtime...lots of large breed pups do this...ours would go from one end of the living room to the other jumping on the couches so hard they'd tip back and hit the walls :D
thast the cutest dane ever! my danes are outside dogs, so we cant let them in our bed...jejeje..also. my danes shed a lot, u have any shedding problems with ur dane???
so cute! i have a 7.5 month old fawnequin name Rudder...he runs circles like that when he is hyper! he has taken me out a few times when i'm standing there and he runs into me!
Wow! He has a ton of energy. I was told that after a year, they calm down and become docile. Well, my Dane is 18 months and she still rips through the house like a bolt of lightening. Danes are funny, crazy clowns...
What a beautiful doggie!! Our great dane had moments like these until she was about eight or nine and her hips couldn't take it anymore. I miss her crazy puppy moments. Thanks for posting this video.
I think so...he gets at least 3 miles of walking a day because we have this one mile loop that we do 3x's a day and we do it just before bed. I also play catch with him outside in the back or just let him run around too. Maybe he needs more because he is a 'high energy' dog. ;)
hehehe he's funny!! :)
Very beautiful dog you've got there!
