The word "Hell" is an Old English translation of the Hebrew word "Sheol" & its Greek equivalent "Hades." Sheol/Hades/Hell mean the same thing! What is it?

When Jesus died, he went to Hades/Hell, from which God resurrected him--Acts2:31,32.

Job14 & Acts2 show that when people die, they go to Sheol/Hades/Hell & that it is only a temporary resting place of dead humans & a resurrection will bring them out & back to life.
Read Rev20:13-15. "The sea gave up its dead & death & Hades/Hell gave up their dead & they were judged individually according to their deeds..."
Rev20:13-15--God will not forget anyone in the resurrection--even those who died at sea will arise. Hades/Hell will be emptied of its dead. Did you catch that?! Hell will be emptied!
Vs14 "And death & Hades/Hell were hurled into the lake of fire, which means the second death." Once empty, Hades/Hell will be discarded into the garbage incinerator, the lake of fire. Same goes for death. You can't really burn death, so this is all symbolic.
Rev20:13-15...Hades/Hell is not the lake of fire! Once emptied, it will be thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is not literal, it's symbolic for the second death, from which there will be no resurrection...everlasting death.
Sheol/Hades/Hell is symbolic for the gravedom of all mankind. The common grave of mankind. There is no English word equivalent to Sheol/Hades, but some Bible transs use Hell.
In summary, "hell" is an old English word meaning to "bury" or "put in a cellar below the ground," as in the phrase "helling potatoes." It does not mean roasting potatoes! LOL
Good & bad people are in hell. Everyone in hell will be resurrected. Hell does NOT mean the lake of fire, which is the second death. The very wicked ones receive the judgment of everlasting death (second death/lake of fire).

What is the soul? 1st definition. Gen 2:7 says that God formed Adam & blew into his nose the breath (spirit) of life & Adam BECAME a living soul. Adam wasn't given a soul, he became a living soul. First off, the statement you commented on is correct. Your interpretation is INCORRECT. The army corp of engineers are in the military but their primary goal is construction and rebuilding infrastructure. It is in this vein that the NCCC operates. Thus, these are the parameters stated just below in the BILL: Natural disasters, infrastructure, environmental & energy conservation, urban and rural development. IT DID NOT SAY TERRORISM AND CIVIL UNREST! You need to tame that PARANOIA of yours!
Of course the bill did not list terrorism & civil unrest. Could those enlisted in the Serve America Act be called upon to fight terrorism & civil unrest? The authors of the bill leave themselves open with the words "include" and "other challenges." What is Babylon the Great? Many people think it to be the Roman Catholic Church. True, she is a religious entity, but she is greater & older than the RCC. Babylon the Great = ALL false religions. After the flood of Noah's day, false religion began in ancient Babylon with the tower of Babel.

Rev 20:6 says that those who go to heaven are of the first resurrection & that they'll rule as king/priests for 1,000 yrs alongside Jesus. Sheol/Hades/Hell is symbolic for the gravedom of all mankind. The common grave of mankind. There is no English word equivalent to Sheol/Hades, but some Bible transs use Hell.

Hellfire. Do a search on the Net of GEHENNA & you will see that where some Bible translations use the term "hellfire," the actual word should be "Gehenna" (not Hades/Hell). Gehenna was a garbage dump outside Jerusalem & brimstone (sulphur) was used to keep the fires burning to consume the trash. Where the fires did not reach, maggots would live--Mark9:43-48. Jesus used this place to illustrate everlasting destruction, aka lake of fire, second death.
The Bible does not say Hellfire.

What is the soul? 1st definition. Gen 2:7 says that God formed Adam & blew into his nose the breath (spirit) of life & Adam BECAME a living soul. Adam wasn't given a soul, he became a living soul. I accept your apology. I don't have kids, but one day when I do, I would fully support them in any and all of their endevors (even if I didn't agree with them.) Kids, have a right to form their own opinion, just like anyone else, however as a parent, I wouldn't let my child watch anything without having seen it first (example, p-g13 movies, r-rated movies and so forth)(especially if the were at a young impressionable age.

Obama did call for a "civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded" as our military. Effective Oct 1, 2009, is his Serve America Act, which combines civilian & military service. The NCCC (ages 18-24) & the GIVE Act (grade school +) focus on your kids, who will go to camps for various training. Will these be mandatory? There is legislation in the works to make them so.

The GIVE Act was so controversial, that the name was changed to Serve America Act in honor of the late Sen E Kennedy. When I first read the GIVE Act, there was a section that denied participants their 1st Amendment rights. I should've printed it, for it has been removed due to public outcry. When you actually read the text, under Part I you'll see that the govt even has education programs for elementary & secondary school students. Where R these camps located? Will this be mandatory? Will you get to accompany your child?How long will this education last? What if my child fails to complete a program? Will me or my child have to serve in another country? You didn't prove anything. Did you read Serve America Act (HR1388), where it denies your 1st Amendment rights...look under Prohibited Activities. (Read HR1444, Sect 4 DUTIES, b (6)--"...mandatory service requirement for ALL able young people..." If passed, HR1388 becomes mandatory.

To be a formidable force, what kind of training would a civilian national security force receive? Military training like the Boy Scouts are receiving from DHS/FBI? HR1388 will include all ages, not just kids. However, elementary grades - high school will also receive training at various camps (revised to read campuses! LOL). The army corp of engineers are in the military but their primary goal is construction and rebuilding infrastructure. It is in this vein that the NCCC operates. Now take a look at DoD (Dept. of Defense) Directive 1404.10--Civilian Expeditionary Workforce. See how these 2 pieces of legislation can work together & you can see where/how Obama will get his civilian army.

A kingdom is a royal govt with a king. God had a kingdom on earth with kings David, Solomon, etc. The Israelites & the kings were bad, so God moved the kingdom to heaven. Jesus Christ is the last heir to God's kingdom. He will rule from heaven over the whole earth for 1,000 years. IS9:6,7 says that Jesus will shoulder the responsiblity of this "government" with righteousness.

The purpose of the heavenly kingdom is to govern mankind & to bring us back into a righteous standing before God. Jesus will have 1,000 years to do this. Once this is accomplished, Jesus will hand the kingdom over to his God & Father, who will rule over mankind FOREVER. Read 1Cor15:24-28. Those Scriptures sum it up nicely!

I agree. There is no rapture. Rapturians usually cite 1Thess4:17 as their escape. If you read the context & start with vs13, you can see that death is the subject & not rapture. It discusses the heavenly resurrection.

No, you're not going to heaven and neither am I. Rev 14:3 says that only 144,000 go to heaven. Rev 20:6 says that those who go to heaven are of the first resurrection & that they'll rule as king/priests for 1,000 yrs alongside Jesus. (From Pentecost 33 CE to our day, God anointed 144,000 to rule over mankind on earth in His heavenly kingdom/govt with Jesus.)

The term "first" resurrection means that there will be another resurrection. Acts 24:15 says that there will be another resurrection of both the good & the bad people. This is the last resurrection & it will give billions of people a 2nd chance at life, but under beautiful, righteous conditions on earth, brought about by God's heavenly govt. Abel, Noah, Job, David, etc + millions of faithful Christians will come back to life on an earthly Paradise with everlasting life in view!

But why does Acts 24:15 say that the bad, unrighteous people will be resurrected?!--to give them all a chance to learn about the true God YHWH & about His righteousness.
God's purpose for creating the earth is to have it inhabited with healthy, happy, righteous people united in worshipping Him forever. Is45:18 says that God firmly established the earth & that He did not create it simply for nothing, but He formed it to be inhabited. Earth is our home. It will be transformed into a Paradise.

Rev18:4 says that you can avoid much of the distress of the Great Tribulation, by getting out of false religion beforehand. The Great Tribulation ends with Armageddon, which is God's war against the wicked & the destruction of every last part remaining of Satan's world. Armageddon results in the salvation of His people thruout the earth--Rev7:9-17.
