Davy Jones and his crew have been on the black pearl in thesecond film but i agree its sort of carelessly made . You could just make your own sails for the pearl from the first film
this set is based on the 2-3 minute scene in Dead Mans Chest where Will was sent out the the "Flying Dutchman" and then the real Dutchman rises form the depths, Jones talks to Will while Jack and the crew are waiting a couple 100 meters away, Jones spots them and teleports to them, where Jack and Davy start bagaining about Jacks Soul. thats whare the set came from!
Good review. I really thought Lego would make the Black Pearl more cooler. Like, for example, they put 2 windows instead of 3 for the sides of the cabin, or the fact that they made the ship small when this is the main ship of the POTC series. Also, I would also
davy jones has set foot on the black pearl 2 times!, in pirates of the carribean 2 he did it to tell jack he must give 100 souls, and in pirates 3 he spoke to calypso!
@cullmancreations YES. Infact I eventually want to be known as the Lego reviewer who goes back to the older sets and does retrospectives. The next lego ship set review will be the Skull's Eye Schooner
Umm i like your videos but i heard on your channel your trying to save up for sets for the new brickfilm your working on ghost town and get money and how about instead of getting lego sets you save up more money! For the film! Not trying to be mean if you thought i was :)
@OrionCinemas yeah i notice that but like is the pearl like SUPPOSED to be the queen anns revenge in the movies or they just do that for the films to make it easier?
@LEGOkevo the story goes that Blackbeard abducts ships and puts them into his little bottles. He sinks the Black Pearl, but his flagship, The Queen Anne's Revenge, is modeled after the Black Pearl ( as it is not seen in the fourth installment of POTC except for the bottle scene).

Yeah, It is weird that they included the Davy Jones figure.
As for me, I believe Davy Jones and his shark man ( Maccus ) boarded after Will Turner told DJ that he was there becasue of Jack, and then DJ used his superpowers to board the ship. Also, in the beginning of DMC (movie 2 ), the starfish guy (Bootstrap ) is there, warning Jack of the Kraken. Just clearing that up.
I sooooooooooo agree with your cons I made the same conclusion you did about the Lego company just changing the color of the ship the figs are cool bit I guess this means no Flying Dutchman well I don't think Lego would have done a good job anyway :P
