with a better tone, your volume gets louder. support your air more, and keep a steady air speed. do the loudness excercises my school does. in a hitpoint in your show, have the section sprint for about 5 minutes strait, and while their out of breath, play the hitpoint. your easily louder while your out of breath.. just try it.

Yes the burises are there. I had a hip pointer all my years that was dark green and yellow by the end of the year. I would get a bruise on my chin every game. Many people would bleed on their back / shoulder through out the year. The bursing were badges of honor and if we did not have them we felt we did not march to our fullest ability - Woof - MSU Tuba '89 - '94

I love this video.I want to be a Spartan tuba we will see in 2 and a half years. Your 1 to 20 ratio is way worse than my 1 to three ratio for girls being tubas, would have thought there would be at least three. Have one question though arent you afraid your mouthpiece is going to fall out or is it held there. Only woundering this cause mine always falls out at the slightest touch I would not be able to do any of it.

in my high school band we have 20 push-ups if we drop our mouthpieces plus 5 for each bit, it sucks because they tend to fall out just by putting the horn down!!! these guys are hardcore!!!!!!!!!!
