Thanks for the upload, this is a great song with outstanding lyrics! Oh, and to everyone who is about to post a comment, read at least a quarter of the thread to prevent adding redundancy; we all know which album this song is NOT on.
someone missed the like button. where can i get some of their albums? i love this sound, about as equally as 3rd wave but i originally listened to 90's punk and metal so you cant blame me
the difference is mainly on their ideology... the first wave is all about how unfair the world is, the second is between 1-3 and the third wave says that theres nothig to complai about in the world....... or something like that
ok 1st ave ska sounds to newcomers a lot like very slow reggae, but has the whole muted upstroke telecaster guitar going on, bands like Prince Buster, etc. 2nd wave is the "skank" ska, much more upbeat and faster, ith a touch of comedy in the lyrics such as Madness, 3rd wave ska is the ne stuff, from no doubt to reel big fish. Is still ska, and still makes you wanna skank, but has much more "Modern Punk" overtones with the music.
You do realize that this song is off of Give "em the boot (Vol. 1) and not 2 right? And The Gadjits where around for a long time after they "broke up" just under a different name.
Thank you for posting this....lost the cd when me van died and i havent heard what is possibly my all-time favourite song ....ie this... since...*grins smugly and listens repeatedly*
This isn't off the 2nd album, i'm looking at it right now :P
