Yes the cloth is faster, some of the tables are heated , and these 2 guys are 2 of the best at these monster stroke shots.

Do not try this at the pool room without asking the owner first , the cloth costs about $140.00 to replace.

wow! I never realized the cloth was faster for 3-cushion. How does heating the tables effect the game?

Heating the tables keeps the cloth dry. "Wet" cloth takes the spin off the cueball (and slows it's travel) much more quickly.
