I'm not for scientology in any way but that woman seemed a lot more sensible than the people she was arguing.. How can you say that they make you disconnect from their family and when she denies it the best response you can think of is that she's lying.. and you know this because you've talked to ONE other EX-member... I think you guys got concerned with a few stories and just considered that its like that across the board.. Its called stereotyping
@DrizzttheSlayer24 Sorry, but no. The ex-member referenced (Marc Headley) is one whose father lives in Kansas City and has attended protests before. However, it is not solely on his account that Scientology's policy of disconnection is corroborated. I invite you to look at the Ex-Scientology Kids website, Jim Little's blog and media coverage (Village Voice, BBC & Current Affair), and then reconsider your accusation of stereotyping.
I can PM you direct links if you'd like. Just let me know.
To her credit she is right about one thing. When you are wearing your mask it does significantly hinder your ability to communicate. Communication happens both verbal and nonverbal, when you are hiding your facial expressions, eyes, facial gestures, microexpressions, etc. You are making it more difficult for the other person to pick up on nonverbal cues. According to a study by (Mehrabian & Ferris, 1967). 93% of human communication is nonverbal. About 60% of nonverbal comm happens in the face.
The $cibot speaks! Too bad it's all the same old brainwashed, repetitive banter that makes absolutely no fucking sense. Moar comm courses! Moar auditors!
I disagree with only one point in this conversation that drugs actually kill people that is a testable researchable thing that prescription drugs do not cure but cause all kinds of deaths in america. They brought up bad arguments to be honest to say sweating is bad for you? like the purifacation run down is actually supported by none scientologist naturalists and obviously you can't listen to the FDA on natural detox there full of shit have the time anyways approving dangerous drugs in the markt
@wachnathan Only defending certain points not scientology just so were clear, religions all have something to sell that does help so i really think your arguments should only address the obvious negative damage it causes and not iirelivant arguments like its protest againast drugs which many none scientologists support.
Other then that well I think its awsome people actually call out big mainstream religions this is how it should be normal avarge people shouldn't have to be pushed around by religions.
"Disconnection" is for women to disconnect from their beating husbands?! Okaaay. I take my former comments back. She is a fucking liar like all cult defenders.
@mollie2810 Don't worry, mollie. The cult will make sure she pays for some quack courses to deal with the entheta she just experienced. It's all in her best interest of course.
Hehe. The question that is bothering me, how do women all over the world divorce their beating husbands if they are no $ciloons and have no special "disconnection policy"? Huh
