  • Someone tell me there is a better univibe clone out there than this and I'll buy it. Otherwise this sounds like the one.

  • @HappyOrangeTheBand Have you checked out Fulltone's deja vibe? It's pretty damn good, although this one is too. Also, Lovepedal makes a pickle vibe. Definitely check out that pedal.

  • Pink Floyd, Hendrix, CCR, AIC? A great video and music choice for a fantastic pedal!

  • Love mine to death I put infont of an OCD Perfect ok?

  • What is the name of the song at 2:0?, what are the chords?

  • I WANT ON SOOO BAD THIS IS PERFECT FOR MY RIG I PLAY PSYCHEDELIC ROCK

  • ProGuitarShopDemos gives the best presentation videos.

  • what kind of power does it take does it come with a powerpack?

  • I notice pedals are mostly going backwards. 'Vintage' this, 'sixties' that. Im all for vintage but are there no effects left?

  • @RIPHendrix there hasn't been much "new" since the early 70s. Everything's just been variation from that point forward.

  • This NAILED that trower tone on "Too Rollin' Stoned". Imma get one of these when I can afford it.

  • @mcbm1991 hell ya

  • Respond to this video... ccr also

  • Sounds great but man theat is just about the ugliest pedal i have ever seen - eewwwwww.

  • Will this pedal get me the type of sound on, say SRV's Cold Shot.

  • Breathe...Breathe in the air...

  • It's pretty nice, just not $275 nice.

  • Vibrato, similar to a tremolo? Who are you and what have you done of Andy O_O?

  • hey andy, my dad saw a guitar player in a ufo´s documentary in history channel and told me that was you!

  • I wouldn't mind one of those...thick and gooey... some ways it remind me of an ADA flanger I used to have but sounds brighter.

  • oh my this thing sounds lovely and thick and chewy! makes my small stone sound not unlike poop :'-(

  • sounds real good andy

  • I think this has a better tone than any other vibe out there, because it has an unmistakable vintage sound you can just hear it. Better than the mojo vibe, ultra vibe, micro vibe, and the KR mega vibe!! THe only thing that might beat it would be the FoxRox Aquavibe, but that's ridiculously expensive, and the waiting list is ridiculous.

  • Can a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power II Plus power this?

  • Don't waste your time. Save your dough and get a Heaven's Vibe from Japan!

  • Great demo...next thing on my shopping list this is..!

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos

Great demo as always. Do you think vibe pedals sound better before overdrives? I understand that other modulation effects do sound better after overdrive but I see you placed the vibe before, I think you did the same in the Lovepedal Vibe demo and also sounds great.

    Thank you

  • 18 Volts?? Why not 9 ?

  • @misspikapoka higher voltage gives the pedal a higher headroom, so it sounds more open and lush, while at the same time it has less distortion. since modulation pedals by default use more electricity compared to, say, overdrive and fuzz pedals, extra voltage allows pedals such as the 60's vibe to perform optimally

  • What's the first song you played at the beginning? Is it by Pink Floyd?

  • @The1970sInfatuate breathe/speak to me by pink floyd yes!! :)

  • play some frampton

  • andy has the same voice as "ben linus" from "LOST" lol :P

  • I got part way into the vid and was going to thank you for not saying "low-end throb" after you said "low-end pulse," but then you dropped the throb bomb shortly thereafter... Ah well, I'm still a freak for vibe pedals, so I'll just put up w/ your penchant for self-coined cliches whenever I watch these demos:P:) Keep up the good work!

  • @yobhsiFehT - Hey, at least we make up our own cliches.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos

    Umm... touche??

Since I can't tell the tone of your response, I guess I'll just cut mine short. I wasn't tying to be a jerk~shrug~

  • @yobhsiFehT - No, no. We thought your comment was funny. We were being funny too. It's all good, chief.

  • Not a bad univibe but the kr megavibe really outperforms it imho

  • This sounds good, but it really doesn't sound that much better than a cheaper pedal like the LovePedal Pickle VIbe.

  • I keep coming back to this demo; I could listen to these sounds all day.. When will this pedal be available again at ProGuitarShop?

  • @forgedrive its comes in stock at PGS like every 3 months for like 3 days.

  • hah i love the Alice in Chains at the end...

"like the coldest winter will, Heaven beside you (hell within)"

  • Too Rolling stoned Nice Touch

  • Hi louisalive i think ,MJM Sixties better , becose sound much powerful and i just lovin this magic sound)

P.S. this is universal pedal actualy!)

  • I have the fulltone mini deja which I like but it definately has a treble glare that I don't always like...though it is perfect in front of dark fuzz! Wonder if this one gets bright at all?

  • it does not. i have and it rules with a fuzz.

  • its a killer vibe!

chorus on,volume full up,intensity @ 1:00, speed from 10:00 to 2:00 for any hendrix and trower tunes.

use the same settings with vibrato on and speed set at 9:00 and you've got robert ward/ lonnie mack magnatone or "hey baby" by hendrix

  • Breathe, Breathe in the air :D hooray pink floyd! Also, is that CCR's born on the bayou? And the last song is definitely Heaven Beside You by AiC.

  • the time is gone, the song is over. thought i'd something more to say

  • what's better, this, or the fulltone deja vibe??

  • this by a gigantic mile.

  • @coughlintm howcomes because the fulltone has the same components as the univibe doesn't it? also, isn't it a benefit to have the speed control pedal??

  • Use your ears, not specs. This actually has the same "throb" as the Breathe tone. Look and compare.

  • You can control the speed on this pedal easily enough, because it's on the left.

  • Do these pedals change pitch?? Or just change volume? What effect do pitch and what just volume? (My twin reverb has only volume effect (Like jour just closing and opening volume.))

  • @Weltar Vibrato is pitch changing. Tremolo is volume. This is a mix between these and a chorus

  • Very versatile and sounds great!

  • Great Robin Trower riff.

  • AiC

  • this is the vibe. mjm has the real thing & based this on it. i love it. i've tried the "other" vibes out there--this one is the one for me

  • is that breathe-pink floyd for the intro??

  • @17blue why yes it is lol

  • @17blue

    exactly what i thought

  • @17blue Yes SIR

  • @17blue ooh yeah

  • 2 rolling stoned?

  • PINK FLOYD

  • Green River CCR

  • whats the song at 3 50?

  • run through the jungle-CCR

  • Born On The Bayou you mean

  • damn, gonna sell micro vibe for this after i get some money

  • Check out the Vibravox, it sounds really nice too, and its tube driven!

  • Nice pedal! What song was it around 5.10?

  • Alice in Chains

  • I wish I was back on the Bayou, rolling with some Cajun queen!

  • yeah! Robin Trower!!

  • what overdrive pedal is being used here? It sounds great!

  • I can swear it sounds like Breathe...You don't really expect pedals and especially Uni-Vibe pedals to sound anything like they did back when Hendrix and David Gilmour used them, so this is really nice! Andy, you're helping me find better parts for my rig! It sounds ten times more authentic to me than the Dejavibe...

  • if only this thing had a pedal, afraid it's the fulltone for me...

  • Great Pedal, awesome demo Andy.

Personally I'd recommend the whetstone phaser over this, does this and more....

  • down by the river... I shot my baby....

  • Andy with all these demos im getting a real sense of your playing style! you are getting kind of famous in a sense! you should post us a link to your band... then we can see what gear you have a true personal preference for ; )

  • nice alice in chains cover andy, i didnt notice if that song had vibrato though

  • It doesn't, I just made it my own.

  • I need all the money in the world.

  • 5 stars , for the pedal and for Andy

  • woulda sounded better if it was played on a rickenbacker

  • only way to make it better is if it had tubes, love it!!

  • Would having tubes necessarily make it sound 'better'?

  • The pedal rocks but the jack placement is terrible.

  • what do you think would work better with the fuzz face, the deja vibe 2, or the 60s vibe???

  • Try them out with a Fuzz pedal and see which one you like. Personally, I'd pick the Sixties Vibe, it sounds like it has the same throb as an original Uni-vibe, to me.

  • TOO ROLLING STONED owns!!!

  • Bborn on a Baaaaayaaaaahhh

  • The original Univibe is the best, but not very out there

  • best vibe unit out there. I have one.

  • I like deluxe reverbs well enough in their role, but one day you need to roll out and say "Hey its Andy [pedal stuff] and I'm plugged into a Marshall JTM 45/100 Full stack FULL UP..now lets check this pedal out..." It'd work wonders for fuzz demos for sure. Sell 10x the amount.

I'd love to hear somebody take this pedal through its paces on a old school Marshall half stack or clone, tossing in fuzz here and there playing in a Hendrixian style. If you can nail woodstock uni tone, thats legit.

  • Or better yet, that BOG's tone...

  • PINK FLOYD!

  • Home, Home again, I like to be here when i caaaan.

  • i get home from work every day and look forward to a new pgs video.

  • put the lime in the coconut

  • @marvelboy04 im hoping that wasnt supposed to be sexual

  • Great job, Andy.

  • so is this like a chorus/flange-tremolo thing

  • @queenforlife96 Honestly, the Univibe is it's own thing. It's closest to a phaser, but it has it's own kind of pulsing throbby thing going on that make it unique. Listen to Hendrix playing Machine Gun and you'll understand why this is a cool pedal.

  • Breathe, Breathe in the air Don't be afraid to care Leave, but don't leave me Look around, choose your own ground. Long you live and high you fly smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry all you touch and all you see Is all your life will ever be. Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun, And when at last the work is done Don't sit down it's time to dig another one. One of the best lyrics ever written imo :)
  • 18 volts really a pain in the @ss

  • go pink floyd

  • Robin Trower....YES!!!

  • Yes, Heaven Beside You! Damn, AIC is awesome.

  • Hi PGS! The Sixties Vibe by MJM is amazing! What are you guys using for the overdriven parts?

  • I got one of these a couple years ago, it kicks ass when you need a solid uni vibe or tremolo.

  • You know a pedal is good if Andy opens with Pink Floyd, U2, or the Foo Fighters.

  • What ones does he play U2 with?

  • got one for christmas and it owns so much.

  • Heaven and hell... yeah that's what I am talkin bout...

  • CCR BABY!

  • I wish more companies would get back to the univibe sound. every vibe review ive ever seen has a ton of comments saying "will it do a univibe emulation?" that classic pulsing throbbing sound is critical to nailing any vintage type tone

  • It's a cool pedal, no doubt, but I think the Red Witch Moon Phaser is much better.

  • Always gotta throw in a little trower! Like a Rollin Stone!

Sounds great! Only ever played a MDV-2 and I own a pickle. Wish I had a real photocell vibe though, it's just not quite the same.

This sounds great, I guess the only real drawbacks would be size and that you need 18 volts, right?

    Another great demo!

  • Pink Floyd baby!!!

  • Ordered mine this morning.Been waiting a while for it to be back in stock...

  • AIC FTW!!!

  • Been waiting a while for this one! Thanks PGS

  • Breathe!

  • Pink Floyd FTW

  • fantastic!!!

  • damn...I just love this vibe. wish I had the money to afford it : (
