@HappyOrangeTheBand Have you checked out Fulltone's deja vibe? It's pretty damn good, although this one is too. Also, Lovepedal makes a pickle vibe. Definitely check out that pedal.
I think this has a better tone than any other vibe out there, because it has an unmistakable vintage sound you can just hear it. Better than the mojo vibe, ultra vibe, micro vibe, and the KR mega vibe!! THe only thing that might beat it would be the FoxRox Aquavibe, but that's ridiculously expensive, and the waiting list is ridiculous.
Great demo as always. Do you think vibe pedals sound better before overdrives? I understand that other modulation effects do sound better after overdrive but I see you placed the vibe before, I think you did the same in the Lovepedal Vibe demo and also sounds great.
@misspikapoka higher voltage gives the pedal a higher headroom, so it sounds more open and lush, while at the same time it has less distortion. since modulation pedals by default use more electricity compared to, say, overdrive and fuzz pedals, extra voltage allows pedals such as the 60's vibe to perform optimally
I got part way into the vid and was going to thank you for not saying "low-end throb" after you said "low-end pulse," but then you dropped the throb bomb shortly thereafter... Ah well, I'm still a freak for vibe pedals, so I'll just put up w/ your penchant for self-coined cliches whenever I watch these demos:P:) Keep up the good work!
I have the fulltone mini deja which I like but it definately has a treble glare that I don't always like...though it is perfect in front of dark fuzz! Wonder if this one gets bright at all?
@coughlintm howcomes because the fulltone has the same components as the univibe doesn't it? also, isn't it a benefit to have the speed control pedal??
Do these pedals change pitch?? Or just change volume? What effect do pitch and what just volume? (My twin reverb has only volume effect (Like jour just closing and opening volume.))
I can swear it sounds like Breathe...You don't really expect pedals and especially Uni-Vibe pedals to sound anything like they did back when Hendrix and David Gilmour used them, so this is really nice! Andy, you're helping me find better parts for my rig! It sounds ten times more authentic to me than the Dejavibe...
Andy with all these demos im getting a real sense of your playing style! you are getting kind of famous in a sense! you should post us a link to your band... then we can see what gear you have a true personal preference for ; )
Try them out with a Fuzz pedal and see which one you like. Personally, I'd pick the Sixties Vibe, it sounds like it has the same throb as an original Uni-vibe, to me.
I like deluxe reverbs well enough in their role, but one day you need to roll out and say "Hey its Andy [pedal stuff] and I'm plugged into a Marshall JTM 45/100 Full stack FULL UP..now lets check this pedal out..." It'd work wonders for fuzz demos for sure. Sell 10x the amount.
I'd love to hear somebody take this pedal through its paces on a old school Marshall half stack or clone, tossing in fuzz here and there playing in a Hendrixian style. If you can nail woodstock uni tone, thats legit.
@queenforlife96 Honestly, the Univibe is it's own thing. It's closest to a phaser, but it has it's own kind of pulsing throbby thing going on that make it unique. Listen to Hendrix playing Machine Gun and you'll understand why this is a cool pedal.
Breathe, Breathe in the air Don't be afraid to care Leave, but don't leave me Look around, choose your own ground. Long you live and high you fly smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry all you touch and all you see Is all your life will ever be. Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun, And when at last the work is done Don't sit down it's time to dig another one. One of the best lyrics ever written imo :)
I wish more companies would get back to the univibe sound. every vibe review ive ever seen has a ton of comments saying "will it do a univibe emulation?" that classic pulsing throbbing sound is critical to nailing any vintage type tone
Someone tell me there is a better univibe clone out there than this and I'll buy it. Otherwise this sounds like the one.

use the same settings with vibrato on and speed set at 9:00 and you've got robert ward/ lonnie mack magnatone or "hey baby" by hendrix
