  • For the price of one of these you can just buy a gibson les paul studio. The REAL DEAL.

  • @crazymonkeyx Funny enough, I now have a gibson studio. Great guitar, can't help to think this ultra was worth like a gibson for playability and tone

  • Sick modding and playing!

  • @EpicFlyingDude thanks!

  • Wow, I Like it :D

  • @legendsveil thanks!

  • Are these all pics of yours? Because if so, that's amazing how different it looks in all the photos. I don't suppose you have a link to the photobucket or whatever they are. That's gorgeous. I was considering tossing the USA tremontis in mine.

  • @XXX38 the main pictures with the modifications are the pictures of my guitar. The others are just random pictures of the ultra II Midnight ebony. I had the tremontis combo too. Swapped out the jb because it was too shrill and the guitar was really great

  • I switched out all of my lower hardware to Gibson: BB Pros, 500k pots, 3-way switch, Tune-a-matic Bridge, and tail piece. My guitar tech - James Hood (with the advice from Gibson) wired the Nanomag into my main jack and now only require the one jack instead of two. Contact James Hood/Buffalo Bros. for how to wire your pots and Nanomag. He's the best!

  • @johnnytheshu Hye, unfortunately I do not own this guitar anymore because I had several problems with it, but your hint will help many ultraII players!

  • woah! well i couldnt think i was the ONLY player to think of the combo of these two pickups, and in the exact places as well. I play on a 86' PRS Custom w/ sweet switch with the stock pickups and i was thinking of decking out my LTD viper 100fm with that combo. i understand that its not possible to "blend" the two pickups? only one or the other?(neck/bridge) Im glad that i could see an example and thank you for that, now i know its exactly what i want.

  • @CaptainSilverUnicorn Hello! You can certainly blend the two pickups, but you will get a strange result because the jb is very 'shrill'. However, before selling this guitar I swapped the JB with the tremonti treble. Way Way better pickup!

  • Nice sound, nice review friend, and of course beautiful guitar! But anyway i'm in love with my MM JP6 =) It's not a beauty, but it sounds killer =DDD

Are yr samples played through POD hd500???

  • @LordXanders Thanks Man! Actually I just had a bunch of problem with this guitar and I think I'm going to replace it.. :(

Anyway, the petrucci is a real axe! And I think it's beautiful too!

Yea, everything recorded with hd, no drive, no boost, just the amp sims

  • @089Ray

My axe is beatiful, when im playing on it "high" (dont know how to say it in English)

But it looks very strange when it's "low" (like Metallica does)

    err, what problems?

  • @LordXanders Yea I understood, you mean that the jp is a very prog/shred guitar, not designed to be kept low on your knees like les pauls and explorers

  • @LordXanders hey man, you say high as if you are trying to get somebody attention like "Hi steve"
