every one here who criticizes this man should not be denying him his props. Frankie I believe is the best if not on the top 3 best dancers in the world right now.. It might be a little difficult for people to realize his unique style if they are trying to count the steps as they watch frankie dance. Only people who truly feal the music and dont have to count steps can appreciate what frankie has done for the dancing scene.. and that is revolutionize...
I like Frankie Martinez, but this one he was a bit disconnected with the girl, he is dancing almost by himself with the music, but not too much interaction with the partner, would like to see more connections and eye contact.

Thank God there is a Salsa dancer like Frankie Martinez out there. Too Many Salseros just put the ladies through turn patterns. Frankie interprets the music with originality and creativity. He's got great rhythm and moves with incomparable style. Salsa needs more originality! Keep doing your thing Frankie you're an inspiration.

He might appear disconnected from the "passion/fun" you describe only because his style defines the personality he is intending to portray; cool cockey sophistication. Check out all the other "Salsa dancers" none have the obvious smoothness and confidence that Frankie has. A true Rumbero displays "machismo" in his interpretation. Salsa dancing is not just about turns, it's also about attitude.
