  • I met Mr. Flash Terry in Joey's Bar in Tulsa back in the 80's. On almost any night you could find Mr. Terry or Preacher Jimmy Ellis sitting in with the band. Miss them and miss Joey's

  • I was very blessed to have booked Flash "back in the day" and sit in on bari and tenor sax in his final years.  A true gentleman of the blues and I miss him dearly!

  • I guess anyone that ever saw Flash Terry will remember that night, his blues and his smile....I sure do. Saw him a LOT in the 80's, every chance I got. He also visited our Peaches Record Store every once in a while. What a great guy and great bluesman.

  • @TulsaLaniB Yes, Flash was memorable, and the real thing for blues. I only played with him from 1980-81, but he left a great impression on me and everyone he met.

  • He was a great man,I have two guitars that I'm proud to say he played. A Fender Telecaster,and a 56U2 Danaelectro...he loved them both! Rest In Peace Flash.

    Being a native Tulsan, he was truely one of my favorites and I too was there in the crowd whenever possible.

    I was at the Paradise Club (on Lewis right?) and Leon showed up and Gaylord S. Artain was playing darts....man, those were the days.

    Looking forward to see the other video and glad to see you're doing well DM. Thanks again for the memories.

  • Flash was a great bluesman. I never missed a performance if I could help it when I lived in Tulsa. I have mahy great memories of this man, and miss him greatly.
